I was playing when the update happened yesterday. I'm going to the best spot in my proximity right now actually.

 

Well one day into gen 2, and I already can't find anything new haha.

First Gen 2 pokemon I saw was a fucking Meganium. Threw a raspberry, an ultra ball, and it ran right away.

 

I caught a skarmory. That was cool

 

No I just mean I found about 15-20 of the 2nd gen. Now it's just all the common stuff I already have. Slowly but surely I'm sure I'll find stuff.

 

An Octillery was probably the best catch I have had so far.

Spent the day with my kids in a bunch of parks with lakes. We spun poke stops all day at not 1 one of us landed any specials items. I am all ready for my Slow King, Steelix, Politoed, Bellossom, Kingdra and Scizor just need the fucking special items.

It sucks but it looks like for Cyndaquil is going to be the hard starter to get just like Charmander which are near impossible to find around my parts.

 

I hit well over 50 stops in total before finally getting one single special item. Oh, and that item was on my 7 day streak spin..

 

i think most are confirming on reddit that you will get the item on a 7-day streak.

Trust me when I say I have spun over 500 pokestops, but i just got back into the game on Day 1 on Gen 2

So far my best gets are a Skarmory, Mantine, Noctowl, Octillery, Croconaw, and I caught a freaking Ursaring today. Hyped about that Pokemon.

Also, there is a way to get Umbreon and Espeon for those that have Eevee's and want to evolve into those new ones.
Name them Tamao and the other Sakura before evolving.

I also actually evolved too many Zubats haha, I am stuck on 89 candies so I cannot get a Golbat yet, and now those bat fucks have vanished...I am using Chansey as my buddy as I also wasted candies to buff my Chansey up to 900 cp. So I noticed I had 42 Chansey candies, I imagine that Blissey will be big as all hell.

Lastly, I imagine the most desirable pokemon in the US will be Tyranitar, stage 3 of the main starters, and Heracross who is a region exclusive only to the South Americas...But parts of Florida and Texas are getting them only.

FINALLY got a Ditto today. About damn time.

 

Yeah I got the Eevee evolutions on day 2 lol. I'm subbed to a guy who always has the latest news, and updates on that stuff.

Same here. I have 3 Golbats, and not enough candy for the second gen evolution now. I wish I had thought that out better before evolving multiple times.

Also yeah evolved Chancey is insane. I don't have one, but I saw one with 400hp.

 

I landed a dragon scale on my 7 day streak spin today.
On the very next spin, I landed a metal coat.

 

I'm not a fan of the rare item idea. Getting enough candy is hard enough.

 

I think its a smart move, because it encourages users to return for daily rewards.

I dont like that I have to wait, but from a concept standpoint they just made more people eager to go in just to swipe a poke stop

 

Well I was already making sure to get at least one stop, and one catch every day. This won't change my habits.

Oh well, I'll wait.

 

But it probably changes mine a little, because after I caught every one of the back in the summer I stopped playing lol
