If the Falcons would of run the ball when they were in field goal range in the 4th quarter they would be SB champions right now.

A Super Bowl loss and one of the best seasons in franchise history with a top 10 offense of all time, or a team in the gutter without a quarterback? Hmm I'd rather be a Falcons fan I'd say.

I think its obvious that head coaches have a larger say in personnel than a lot of people ever give credit for. We often have arguments on here about that. Atlanta started four rookies on defense with their first time head coach. To think that he didn't have a hand in picking these guys is dumb. I think our head coach along with most of the NFL has a large say in which players they want. The Falcons are the perfect example of this.

Hindsight obviously says we should've went with Dan Quinn, but he also has the leagues MVP on his roster.

I'm hoping the young rookies we have start to perform. Imagine we can start getting above average contributions out of Darron Lee, Leonard Williams (we are already), Juston Burris, Jordan Jenkins, Mauldin, etc.

I think this franchise is in a lot better shape than we give it credit for. We just need to figure out our fucking quarterback situation.

Thank god we don't have Quinn

That coaching was horrid with the lead

I could have won the game easy if I was coaching

    Not even kidding

Horrible coaching by Quinn. Blew timeouts before the 2 min warning, prevent D in the 2nd half.

If Quinn had a any clue whatsoever they would be Super Bowl champs. He didn't run the ball when he was on the 20 to essentially kill the clock, kick a field goal and end the game. He choked big time - this loss was probably worse than Seattle's. He just needed to know what the hell he was doing and how gassed his D was. Horrible job - they were the better team and gave it away. Brady only played well once Atlanta's D got tired.

To all the bandwagon Quinn haters:

I've said a few times Quinn is overrated because he inherited Matt Ryan, and the Falcons offense carries his defense. But the Falcons went to the SB and took a 16-2 Pats team to OT. Saying he's a dud because of one bad quarter is silly.

Guys, guys, guys, let's not go over the deep end. Quinn is a good coach, but blessed with a much better coaching staff, and above all, some superior talented set of players with a real top knotch QB. His play calling when all the chips where down was dreadfully poor however, not unlike TB. The real difference, IMO, was that Quinn kept his players in check, and got the best out of them with very good coaching. TB did not, and was highly dependent on over the hill dinosaurs. In the end neither has the strategic brain to beat the best, because to beat the best takes superior adjustment skills, and the uncanny ability to not fuck up your play calling when the game is in your grasp.
Neither coaches in the final analysis, are good enough to shine BB shoes right now.

At least Quinn knew to draft Deion Jones instead of Darron Lee.
