Giants wont take Watson. Walter Football doesn't know diddly-squat about football. I would be really surprised if we took Fournette as well
trivia alert: hellva game by Brady but to be picayune about it, Michigan didn't win the game so much as 'Bama lost it when kicker Ryan Pflugner pushed what would've been the game-tying PAT wide right in OT. Brady went on to became "Tom Brady." And as for Pflugener, to his credit he ended up becoming a very successful orthopedic surgeon.
idk there are so many draft evaluators these days its hard for me to keep up. It's also hard because there is draft evaluation ie.. who is good vs. draft prediction... how you think the draft will end up shaking out/what teams are thinking. Idk maybe walter football is alright at evaluating the players but they are always really wrong on guessing what teams will do. I bet they don't have any more connections to the league than you or I do. --- In this case the "scuttlebutt" they mention about Hackenberg developing well, they are simply referring to that same 1 article we've all seen and have a thread on here "good hack news" or whatever. And his thoughts that the Giants possibly wanting a QB are only coming from that Giants press conference where Reese was asked to comment on Manning/the future of the QB. so walter takes two comments from news stories which themselves could've been BS smokescreen stuff, wraps it up as insider information and gives the New York teams high profile draft picks in his mock draft to attract readers. Hence my comment, he doesn't know diddly-squat.
Thanks. I can see your reasoning. That said, don't these mock draft articles all do the same thing? Upon reflection, I should just go into hibernation until the draft actually happens, but what else is there for Jets fans t root for?
I wasn't giving you any shit, feel free to post as much draft stuff as you want that's all we have to look forward to anyway as Jets fans. I was just pointing out how I thought Walter football was wrong in that instance
I hope you won't, but we're all nuts for rooting for this sad sack excuse for a football team. They're the perpetual prick tease. They'll make a move that looks like it could be a good one, and it'll wind up being an awful move. They can draft a player and we get excited, then he turns out to be a bust, or is always injured. We live for the draft, and are almost always disappointed. We all must have been awful people in our previous lives! LOL
Not that it's going to happen but I think Eli is still younger than Vinny was when he joined the Jets. Of course Vinny joined a team loaded to make a Super Bowl run and the current roster is loaded to be hauled out to the dumpster and set on fire.
2nd inkling of good Hack news albeit from Brandon Marshall. http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2017/02/02/brandon-marshall-jets-young-talent/ “This kid, he has an innate ability to learn the quarterback position,” Marshall said. Of Hackenberg, a second-round draft pick last season, the veteran wideout said: “I love the kid. Big arm. So smart. I mean, from Day 1, (he’d say), ‘Brandon, hey, when are you watching film? I want to go sit in that room with you and watch film.’ “That’s what I love about quarterbacks. That’s what I love, like the guys who have that Tom Brady, that Peyton Manning leadership quality, the guys that are gym rats — that’s Hackenberg. The kid has a chance. … If he continues to work, he’ll be all right.”
I think we all know he's smart and has a huge arm. I wanna know if his footwork (and subsequently accuracy) ability to work out of the shotgun are improving. His biggest issues is lazy footwork, specifically out of the shotgun. He take the snap and turns into a statue instead of keeping his feet moving. Keeping your feet moving is very important for accuracy so you can get pointed in the right direction and drive off the back hip rather than sitting on it. These are not severely difficult issues to fix. Just takes good QB coaching, like he had with O'Brien as a freshman. I have hope for Hack. You don't find a lot of QB's with his brain and physical tools.
Hack has always been a gym rat, a guy who can learn an offense...I just hope he can go from reading defenses to making the right throws out there.
Brandon proclaimed this week that he has a man crush on Tom Brady. That's the kind of shit that you keep to yourself.
I've got some encouraging news about hack. He's not injured yet. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Would the WCO help him, since he wouldn't be taking snaps out of the shotgun, and would have to be making this 3- and 5-step drops every play?
