WTF is he thinking? If the Pats actually won the SB (No chance) this year Vinny wouldn't even of had a snap in. Why would he do this shit? And why would he wear #14 this time around?
I believe the other QBs have #12 and #16, the other number Vinny has worn in his career was #14, his college number and first as a pro. After a day to think about it, Vinny can do what he wants, it doesn't bother me. His greatest moments were as a Jet, he grew up a Jet fan, the NFL is a business and he has a chance to get a few checks. We won't play him.
Let's not lose sight of this fact : Vinny is absolutely DESPERATE for a Ring to cap his career. I mean, interceptions-notwithstanding, he's in the top 10 in Four major passing categories. He'd like to have a Ring as the proverbial Cherry-on-top before he can finally say "No Mas". That's why he continues to work out and keep in shape in case a development like THIS occurs. By the way, I found it funny with Vinny "toe-ing the company line" with that statement of "what better place to win a ring than with a class organization such as the Pats..blahblahblah" I mean....What were you all expecting him to say?
