I'll give my take: The Falcons are the better overall team. I like their defense. They have a great running game. Julio Jones is one of the best WR in the NFL. Matt Ryan will likely be the NFL MVP and Dan Quinn has proven to be a good coach so far. HOWEVER, somehow the Patriots just keep winning. Its awful to witness. Atlanta will be the best team they have played in the playoffs (Not saying much as Houston is a joke and Pittsburgh played like one) but I am not sure it will be enough. I'd love nothing more than a Falcons win, but I feel The Patriots squeak by like they have their other 4 SB wins. 34-31 Patriots.
NE wins and Tom Brady jizzes all over Goodell's face on LIVE TV for that whole deflategate 'he cheated' drama.
since I bet the Falcons in August at 55 to1 ----------------> Go Falcons !!! Rise baby Rise , Gritz Blitz whatever just beat the Cheetahs 31-27
Bill is excellent at tacking away the oppositions best player, J Jones is going to be bracketed all game and Bill will live and die with that strategy. Fortunately for the Falcons they have 2 more guys that can get open, Sanu and Freeman. If the Falcons can exploit those matchups all game then they might have a chance. The Pats have a difficult time against 4-3 defenses. Quinn did a good job of scheming Zone and Man coverage against Rodgers and was able to avoid giving up big plays. It's the only way to contain Brady, and the pats offense. Quinn needs to stick to a similar defensive scheme and avoid the temptation of blitzing Brady. I think it's going to be a close well played conservative game from both teams, as they both try to establish the run and try not to give up the big play, Pats win a close game by 10 points as I think Ryan will make the killer mistake as he tries to force the ball to Jones and it will cost them.
Not to be a homer or anything but I'm going with the Pats 43 - Falcons 11. Pure utter beatdown, and defense wins championships. Experiences wins out in the end.
only 27% of the country wants to see the Pats win the Super Bowl. also polled as the most hated team in the country, having surpassed the Cowboys for that honor. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2017/1/30/14442558/patriots-falcons-super-bowl Personally, I feel 27% is too generous for those slapdicks. the constant cheating, arrogance, and refusal to accept accountability, has put a big stain on the league.
But what if they never cheated in anything? Every opposing fanbase calls BB the best coach ever but 99% refuse to call TB the goat.. What if they never actually cheated anything? the only proof of anything if filiming from the wrong location in 2007, where a close friend of Bb, Mangini, admits he never gained anything from and regrets outting.. he said it was never worth losing his friendship with bill over,
If your QB received a 4 game suspension, he cheated. You act like a 9 $billion dollar a year corporation won't hide anything to protect themselves. These are selfish money hungry owners, with no sense of loyalty to anything but the dollar. Sorry buddy but time and time and again, big money has proven that they would do anything and I mean anything to protect their product.
I think this has all the makings of a really good football game. Atlanta looks really strong and is totally capable of winning. I'll be too sick to enjoy a frame of the Super Bowl. I just really need this win. Despite all of Boston's sports success in the last decade and a half, I'm still stuck in the 90's mindset, where everything could and did go wrong. I still have a hard time being confident before any big game. Go Pats!
