I was listening to Joe Rose this morning (790 the Ticket, Miami), and he had as a phone guest Jason Cornhole (now writes for Yahoo, used to write for Miami Herald). I have no link to any thing on ths (if one exists, I'ld love to read it). Cornhole claims that Mangini, before the NYJ hired him early this year, was going around talking to assistants to see if any would leave with him to the NYJ. He said this was the reason Belichick hates Mangini. He said Mangini committed a "cardinal sin" in the NFL. If this is true, I think he learned a lot from Belichick, don't you? Remember we also lost Charlie Weis to the Pasties in 2000...
lol, if he did this. I would imagine the pats wouldve gone out of their way on the tampering charges. instead of the story dissappearing after we lose to them the next week. i just think theres an obvious rift between Mangini and Belly and everyone will come up with their own story as to why it happened. first the rumor about player recruitment on the plane ride home from DEN and now this. its all very very possible, but I think I'll just believe that Bellicheck simply didnt want to see his protege leave the team for a division rival he hates more than anyone else.
Belichick has an "unnatural" hatred for Jets and Mangini.....If Belichick was a real man he would have half hugged Mangini after the game Sunday and at least told him he was doing a great job.....IMHO
If this were true, you would think Romeo Crennel might be upset with Mangini, just on principle, as well. He's obviously not.
Bellichek took several; guys (including Weis) when he "resigned " and became Pats H/C. SPARE ME!!! I wouldn't **** on him if he was on fire. That's just my humble opinion. :up:

Considering everyone knows Belly took Weiss, Crennel, Mangini himself, and a handful of other guys with him to NE.... I don't believe that claim.
These stories annoy the crap out of me. If there was any substance to these claims you can bet the league would have been involved. This sort of story can only hinder our preparations for what is the biggest game of our season against the 'Bears' and quite possibly the biggesest game being played in the AFC East this season.

Belichick is just mad because he knew how good Mangini would be and now he has to play his team twice a year. Who wouldnt be he had an easy 2 wins every year now he has to actually work for them.
