I'm having trouble following this new points system, and chase format. I like most of the changes, but it's so ticky tacky.
Very confusing, 2 stages with cautions, stage winners and playoff points earned even if you don't win the race?
It rewards drivers for performing well during the race. What I like about it is a guy can run 3rd all race, have a mechanical problem, finish 25th, but still have a pretty good points day. Nothing is more annoying than crashes at the end of races where top guys finish 35th.
Not really, there's always dissenters when it comes to NASCAR rules. France got raked over the coals for situation with the lugs.
New rule: cars that go to the garage are out of the race. No more repairing and going back to the track for a few points for finishing.
I'm conflicted on this. On one hand, the cars are just in the way, and often times bring out more cautions. On the other hand, if your car is slightly damaged compared to a car that barrel rolled, you should be able to get more points. I think they started to cut down on it too with the points change. 35-40 all get the same result in the points department.
I like it and don't. I think they went a little extreme on it. I think maybe putting a time limit on garage time would be a better option, to let cars that weren't extremely damaged get patched up.
I agree. Every now and then a guy goes to the garage, comes out 20 laps down and finishes 28th. This rule takes those hard earned points by the mechanics away.
The only time it hurts other racers when the damaged cars are on the track is the smaller tracks. If they want to apply it then, that's fine, but when their in 1.5 mile tracks, it does not hurt anyone.
Logano and Blaney had the fastest cars, hence the reason no one dropped down with 15 laps to go to help them.
It was a hectic finish as you can predict. I'm just speechless after getting so excited for that brief moment.
Interesting finish today. Nice to see Truex get an early win. That twat on Logano's team that kicked Kyle Busch in the face should be banned from NASCAR for life.
I think Kyle overreacted, but he did have a right to be mad. It's frustrating as a Larson fan to see him get 2nd yet again. That's the 3rd time in the last 4 races.
I don't think the fight needed to happen, but Logano is a bitch that that wreck was pretty obvious. Kyle definitely overreacted but having some roided up pit crew guy stomp his head was unacceptable.
Earnhardt Jr. is retiring after this season he's been awful since he got that concussion last year missed a bunch of races and now this year is miserable JJ won two races in a row
