the difference with saban is this guy was cannonized for a few meaningless wins at the ensd of a shitty season, with an already established solid defense..mangini came in here with shit and is 5-4 right out of the gates.

Now, I'm as big a Jet fan as anyone, but technically, it was New York that gave into the Lobsterbacks and headquartered the British throughout the revolution while Boston forced them out and remained independent throughout....

When Bill left the Jets and headed to success in NE, there were a LOT of articles about how "maybe" Parcells was NOTHING without Bill. That Bill was the "real" genious behind Parcells. OK...fast forward...Maybe Mangini has been the "REAL REAL" genious behind both Bills. Works for me!!!

Terry Bradway is an excellent scout, but he doesn't need to make personnel decisions.

Well I wouldn't go that far, but I suspect that Mangini did a lot of the grunt work making their life much easier. He probably handled a LOT of shit for them.

rofl, dude I'm just joking. Plus your in CA, so unless your from MASS i dont see the problem.

maybe it seemed over the top, but it was a joke. plus I'm not going to feel a bit sorry for the fan of a dynasty. let alone division rival.

but your a good poster and come here with intentions of just talking football so i respect that.

so anyways, calm down and dont let me ruin TGG for you.

I'm not calling Eric a genious yet either, but the comparison to Saban has nothing to do with it. Saban was floundering all the place last year and ran into a winning streak at the end of the season that was a joke. They beat a horrible Titans team, the Jets 2nd/3rd stringers (barely) and the Pats were dropping kicking extra points on them. I live in S. Fl and even during the 'winning' streak I never heard players talking in such positive ways about Saban like they are about Mangini. And Eric is doing his winning in meaningful games, Saban wasn't last year.

That's not really a bad thing. He was a poor GM, but he's a good scout.

Good game DW. My heart bleeds green, but Boston is one of my favorite cities, and the chowder is unlike any other in the world. Screw the Pats. but you're OK.
