The left didn't take over fascism, the neo-fascists hate liberals. The Democrats were slave owners, but the abolitionists weren't conservative. Their platform was to force the federal government to step in and declare slavery illegal. Sounds liberal to me. The Democrats were also in the KKK, but that was back when the Democrats were the party of white southerners, which they clearly aren't anymore. Finally, how do you get on top of a pendulum? There's no room to stand, and it's kind of pointy. Not fun to sit on I'd imagine.
Abortions are a tiny piece of what PP does. Wanting to ban funding for PP because abortions are a couple percent of what they do is anti-human rights.
i disagree that abortion is a basic human right. should be completely legal, but not a basic human right. my sig is pure poetry, isn't it?
'should be legal'...so what's your gripe? Mad you had to pay for your neighbor's health coverage I'm sure you can take the hit. As most cons can. It sure is pure poetry...that very same poet is sitting on his couch now twiddling his thumbs
i vote issues not party lines, what was wrong with "should be legal"? and no gripe, i don't mind helping people who need it, its those that take advantage of the system that irk me though. but suggesting that its a basic human right for a woman to have an abortion just seems................like a stretch of the meaning of basic. as for the poet, the board isn't better now
The following are characteristics of fascism (Dr. Lawrence Britt). 1. Powerful and Continuing Nationalism 2. Disdain for the Recognition of Human Rights 3. Identification of Enemies/Scapegoats as a Unifying Cause 4. Supremacy of the Military 5. Rampant Sexism 6. Controlled Mass Media 7. Obsession with National Security 8. Religion and Government are Intertwined 9. Corporate Power is Protected 10. Labor Power is Suppressed 11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts 12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment 13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption 14. Fraudulent Elections Most of these sound leftist to you? 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13 sound a hell of a lot like Trump.
Of course the fact the NPS does not count crowds at The National Mall and hasn't since 1995 might be an issue, in fact Congress passed an appropriations bill that barred the agency from spending money to count crowds in 1996. Here's your hat.
Handful really dude? Nah there was a large population that burned property had racial remarks and protests. It's no different then today. The only difference is you didn't give a crap when it happened to Obama, but now you care cause its the polar opposite person.
Cutting federal funding to one place that performs abortions and other services doesn't mean someone can't go somewhere else and get it done. Federal funding for everything and anything is not a human right.
Planned Parenthood is a private 501(c)3 non profit organization. I support the work they do, but do not see why taxpayers should be obligated to pay for the work that a private non profit does. They get about 40% of their funding from the Federal Government, and some of the majority of their private funding even has stipulations (i.e. funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation cannot be used for abortions. I do not make that stipulation to funds I donate). Bottom line is do not see why the American taxpayers should be mandated to donate to a private non-profit organization. As for Ohio, we are a Constitutional Republic made up of 50 individual democracies. I don't live in Ohio so that's their business. I agree on the throat punching though, that's usually my first tactic. Then head-butt no the nose, followed by driving their head down into a knee-lift to the face. And if all that don't work, I start running like I stole something .
But Washington Metro does count system usage. They say that ridership Saturday morning was about 40% higher than it was on Friday. They also say that inauguration crowds in 2013 were about 2/3 more than they were in 2017 and 2009 crowds were nearly three times those of this week. Perhaps there were another 300k - 400k Trump supporters who came by limousine.
Welcome to the biggest Jets forum on the internet, where important minds cite statistics from the Washington Metro and feel vindicated.
I'd imagine the vast difference in inauguration crowds has to do with the vast majority of people whom voted for Trump being at work.
