I don't have the words to describe how poorly Dan Girardi is playing right now. We are talking Del Zotto levels of ineptitude and 10 times the contract!
Sucks that Raanta isnt on his top game either...Really time to evaluate our young kids to see if they can bring a spark
I guess Dallas was due? At least Eakin finally got his, albeit after Henrik had already given up a trio to end the first
Hank in a deep funk now, you score 6 goals and lose....we need 2 NHL dmen up here....Girardi's been bad but McD and Skjei were horrible last night
They were horrible matt as was Holden. Skjei and Holden inexcusably abandoned men in front of Lundqvist while Clendening was a clusterphuck until he picked it up a little in the 3rd (however that dribbling pass in front of him that he let go between his skates was embarrassing). Also disturbing was the Stars punking the Rangers on several occassions and laughing about it among themselves, in particular their dbag captain Jaime Been. This Ranger team can get 'Flyered/Bruined' outside of Kreider, Klein and a few-too-few others. And Dallas' goal tending wasn't anything to write home about either - ugly game.
I can't help but noticed that these issues started as soon as the Rangers started listening to their critics "You HAVE to play DEFENSE!!!" Well, guess what, when you have at MOST three legitimate defensemen on your roster, and you try to play defense, this is exactly what happens? Remember when I praised this team for playing video game hockey? You all TORCHED me on this form! "We gotta play defense Hack! Defense! DefenseDefenseDefense! If wer dont play Defense, we won't win a single playoff round!" Well guess what: If we DO play defense, this team will not make the freaking playoffs! Last night was the perfect example. Look at that third period: All-Out forecheck gave this team 25 shots and three goals in one period. This is how they should play night in and night put for 60 minutes!
Sounds good and all but at the same time there's a difference between d-men joining the rush and abandoning their man in front of the crease.
i didnt torch you, i just said i dont think video hockey bodes well for the 2nd season. i agreed with you.
