The thing is, just because he's had some injuries in college doesn't mean he will in the pros. Lots of players never have a serious injury in college, then are constantly banged up and injured in the NFL. Conversely, lots of players with serious injuries in college get to the NFL and never have a problem with injuries again.

I think one has to look at the type of injuries collegiate players have had, and whether they are likely to be chronic problems, or something that might shorten their career. I think one also has to look at how tough the player is and whether he plays through injuries. Fournette has played through a lot of injuries, including the high ankle sprain which is very painful.

I am not overly concerned with his injuries, and to me he sustained injuries that are to be expected for a running back. I personally think that he is the best RB in this class, and is one of the best RB prospects since AP

Ya can't say that, boozer. Lots of players have injury histories in college, then get to the NFL and never have another problem. The opposite is also true. We could take a RB who never was injured in college, and he could tear up a knee during his rookie TC.

Not sure what I was thinking way back when. I wouldn't touch either of these guys with a ten foot pole at #6. Or mostly any runningback usually in the first round.

At #6, its a sure bet the Jets will have a choice of a very good player on the board. Fournette, Adams, Cook, Foster, Lattimore, Hooker , Barnett, Peppers.. I think the hype with Watson, Trubisky will push these players down within their reach. They would also make a great trade down candidate. For them to take a RB, they would have to be very confident in the abilities of the OL, though. There aren't many OL FA's out there that I can see that could make that happen.

I think a true stud RB can make the OL and the QB much better, and is why I think if the Jets can't Watson especially, they should grab Fournette or Cook. Whereas, an above average RB needs a good OL to help him, so if the Jets don't get that stud RB at #6, and decide to wait on filling that, then yes, OL needs to be a priority.

He was only a sophomore. You gotta wait at least another year.
