Quinn wanted the Jets job but Woody was scared he would lose out on clueless Bowles. Please sell the team.
What makes you think Quinn would have even picked the Jets anyway? Other than location (which could have also been a negative considering some people don't want to work near family all the time), what possible reason would he have had for picking us with Geno Smith over the Falcons with Matt Ryan?
Quinn would have done about as well as Bowles has with this roster. I'd rather have Ryan, Jones and Beasley.
There was never a single legitimate source that said Quinn wanted to coach the Jets. No one will ever prove that otherwise. This team is doomed to have coaches that can not find a good job.
but.... what would bowels do WITH ryan and jones and the rest of the atlanta team? ps, they should really go back to the old 80s uniforms, red helmets, no silly geometric shapes on the jerseys.
We do this every time Quinn and Bowles Prescott and Hackenberg What else? 1 coach or 1 player isn't going to change the direction this franchise goes, give who we have time and let them develop something. Damn.
Quin was horrible with Matt Ryan and NO defense. This year they retooled and oh yeah Matt Ryan is an actual Quarterback
I don't think Quinn had his defense ready. Bowles has never had his team ready and our record this year reflects that.
He may not have wanted the Jets job but he was at the top of Woody's list. But the Seahawks went deep into the playoffs and Woody paniced and didn't want to have no coach when the music stopped.
Id just rather have ATLs roster, forget the coaches, Deion Jones looks better than Darron Lee. Franchise QB, Elite WR, Great RB duo, and a great CB and DE . Im not down on Lee but before the draft kinda thought they were pretty much the same guy and ATL got Jones a round later at pick 52. Right after we got Hackenberg so we could of essentially had Lynch and Jones instead of Lee and Hackenberg. Tough to judge so early on but its not looking too good for Mac right now Leo was almost obvious pick so its tough to give him credit for that and Devin Smith well... yeah.
