I would have to find a new team to root for, after all the years of disappointment, I would be pissed because of all my wasted energy on this team.

Honestly, it wouldn't bother me. I've been around a long time and I remember my Dad talking about when the Dodgers moved to LA and the Giants moved to Frisco. My wife is from Mo. and she remembers the Cardinals moving to Zona. You get over it. I'm sure the fans in Cleveland got past the Browns moving to B'more after the Colts moved to Indy.

Shit happens because its all about the cash. Throw enough money at Woody and he'd sell his "hobby" in a New York second. In the end, the NFL would approve a second team in the NYC market. In time, we'd come to adopt and follow them too.

Why would they move to St. Louis though? NY is the largest market in the USA, maybe the world.

And its a cash cow. Perhaps second only to Dallas. Greed being what it is, the NFL realizes that there's a hole in the revenue stream with the absence of a team in St. Louis. They will come to the same realization about SD too. The NFL isn't going to lose cash. Explains why there's still 2 teams in Frisco, LA, DC/Balt and New York. Worry not, there will be two teams in the NYC Metro area. Just too much money to walk away from no matter what.

    This will never happen

But if it did, at least we'd all be set free from this seemingly never ending nightmare

The Bush family can have our 53 man 'most talented roster in the NFL' if we can keep our name and start fresh with an expansion team. Hell yeah. Can you imagine how pissed the Bush fam will be when the realize they spent $2B for a team and don't have a QB? hahahahahaha

Never heard of that site before. Is it legit? The bit about Craig Carton almost becoming the Jets HC makes me suspicious. How could he become Jets HC when he was a baseball player?

If it's even remotely accurate, the Busch family has a buttload of money, and they are pretty good owners of the baseball Cardinals. They might be better owners than Woody. That might actually give me more hope for the team's future. I never became a fan of the Jets because they were in NY. I became a fan because of Joe Willie Namath.

Maybe if the Onion re-Tweeted the article you guys would get it.

The day a retard like Craig Carton gets a scoop like that is a couple of years after the new Jets dynasty has run its course.

Where did this link come from? Who is deciding what the "view" is in "league circles?"

Guys here are constantly bashing unpopular viewpoints of professional reporters but think nothing of anonymous cut and paste jobs.

For me, If The St. Louis Jets becomes a reality it makes the creation of the Long Island Chargers one step closer.

The Jets are cursed because Joe sold his soul for Super Bowl III. Unless someone takes one for the team and reverses the curse, or the Jets change their name, we're screwed.

Here's my vote ... Busch can pay whatever it wants for our roster and move those players (and coaches and front office) to St. Louis. The Jets name, colors and historical records stay in New York as an expansion franchise (that the league would get an absolute mint for placing in NYC), having nothing to do with Woody Johnson. The new franchise gets its own stadium (with a roof) on the west side of Manhattan on the river where we should have built in the first place.

I'd take that deal in a heartbeat.

/Will never happen. Any of it. The Jets aren't being sold.

Woody's greed. These people would sell heir mommas to make a buck. If the Jets are for sale there are enough billionaires to make a competitive offer to keep the Jets in New York. The Steinbrenners, Billy Joel, Mark Cuban, even the crazy owner of the Knicks could get enough financing to buy the Jets. We just don't want those cheap, broke Wilpons anywhere near them.

I tell you this , there is a much better chance of this happening the way Carton said than Bowels becoming a good HC and turning this around ! I would take the NY Chargers or an expansion team over this mess we have rooted for for 50 plus years . Ps if they are sold and move you know that within 5 years they win a Super Bowl just to add more pain to us ,

The Jets have another 8 years left on the lease at the new stadium and just spent 800 million to build it. They aren't going anywhere.
