just saw this sorry Fred ,,,,,,yep this is a Miller A,,,,does not necessarily come from the gulf but there is no transfer of energy I am sure someone else can give the weather geek terminology
sorry...at work so quick hits. Hey Fred!! Yes...this is a miller A...miller A's do not transfer typically...its one storm system. USUALLY...miller a will ride up the coast..this one will not...but you get the point. MILLER B's will head towards the great lakes and spawn off the primary low typically off the nc coast to NJ coast...that secondary becomes the primary storm. This allows cold air to filter in. IF it doesnt spawn off the second storm...you have a warmer primary storm towards the great lakes for the east coast.

18z gfs gave it another bump to the west. this thing is trying to get me in the game. south to central jersey could be 4-6" by sunday a.m. north carolina/virginia border to get the big numbers. 00z gfs will be interesting, just a little further and we could be 2-4,3-6 for everyone
