The Jets have a somewhat unusual power alignment where the GM and head coach are equal and each report to the owner. If Woody's bro takes over he could save the Jets. All he has to do is admit "I don't know shit about football!" and hire a football head of operations/president. How about Gary Kubiak? or someone..anyone not named Johnson.
Yeah I really feel like he might be geno 2.0 if he winds up coming here. I would defiantly stay away from him in round one, if he's there in the second then Mabey. But he is a "winner" so he's got that goin for him
He is a better character than Geno was coming out. Smarter too. But if he is sitting there in the early second they might pull the trigger.
No doubt he has better character then geno lol. I justhink that he his not a top 10 pick but considering the QB class he might go top 10. The way I look at it if he's there in the second and they pull the trigger and he turns out great then that's awesome if not then just add that to the list of failed second rounders lol. If the Jets do draft him I'll definitely root for him to succeed just like I am with hack. I wouldn't be out for his head or anything
Yeah, when you think about it Geno was as unprepared to being a starting QB as Hack and Petty were. He really needed to sit a year and learn. The Jets really did Geno a disservice. Same can be said for Sanchez. If they select Watson or Trubisky it shouldn't be in the first and they should redshirt them like they did Petty and Hack.
I think a better comparison would be a poor man's Mariota. Not as careful and has consistency issues, but similar play styles and potential (with Watson having lower ceilings and floors). Especially in the second or third, the Jets could do a lot worse than Watson (see e.g. Gholston, Pryor or anyone else from the 2014 draft, Milliner, Coples or anyone else from the 2012 draft...).
Geno was unprepared and a very bad QB, but at least he could drive the ball downfield and throw some TDs. Hack is bouncing passes in practice.
Yeah to the first part. We don't know what Hack can do yet. The guy was a three year starter and completed 700 passes in college. I'm sure he knows how to complete a pass in the NFL.
