The place has many more people for the game than I thought would be at the game. I guess when you really think about it when you can get a 50 yard line ticket for two bucks on a sunny day why not bring a kid to the game.
I would love to see exactly how empty the stadium is today, i remember being at the jets vs. saints game back in 1995 on christmas eve and wish i had taken pictures. there were about 20 people in my entire section. it was the week after the giants fans pelted san diego with snow balls and they banned beer at the jets game the next week. i cant imagine its that bad, but i guess it could be.
I so wanted to go down today.....would have brought 12 with me but bizz obligations took over. Sorry!
I remember some Yankee games like that in the early 90's. I was at one vs Minnesota where the head count was 900 or so. I was on the 3rd base line and had a grand old time with the other fans in the section. It was like being on a field trip with random people and was great right up until some middle aged fuck bum rushed me for a foul ball.
Idk, they are there though Saw the camera pan to some Giants fans and other NFL fans there as well. Probably 60% Jets bc of the nice weather
I get it now. This season was part of Woody's master plan to prepare the Jets for their eventual move to London.
London, or I'm down with Las Vegas. Get me out of the meadowlands Sell the team. Las Vegas Jets sounds good.
I'd prefer San Antonio. Not because I live here, but because Gregg Popovich has turned the local beat writing media into a bunch of quivering lumps that are afraid to ask questions. Would be a refreshing change from the self-righteous turds that currently cover them.
I like the sound of Las Vegas Jets. My wife will understand l have to make an annual trip to see "my team"
My philosophy on being a sports fan has always been to support the local team. I stopped rooting for the Nets when they moved out of New Jersey. I will certainly stop rooting for the Jets if they leave the NY Metro area. That and folding the franchise completely would be the only scenarios that I would defect to being a Giants fan. Why follow a shitty football team to another area? The added headache of having to travel to see them would be a deal breaker for me.
I use to think/believe the same way as this. All my other teams are New York. I would gladly follow the Jets where ever they fly off to though. As long as we are second fiddle to the giants, in the new Giants stadium, we will suck. Until the Jets get out of the meadowlands they will continue to suck (I hope I am wrong). I would gladly root for the Las Vegas (or insert city here) Jets if it meant they finally had their own home again.
if the jets left nyc then woody is even dumber than we thought. another team would be in there in minutes.
If the Jets left NY/NJ I would say good riddance to this shitshow and become a Giants fan. No need to subject myself to more misery.
