The Cardinals released Michael Floyd. Do we take a look at him? We can cheapen the price of the Uber rides for Sheldon and ASJ at the very least when they're out getting lit up in the city.

In all seriousness though, he's an incredibly talented receiver. He's struggled with drops this year, but he'd be a nice replacement on the outside of Marshall at a much cheaper price, and allow us to cut Marshall, and keep Decker.

Not saying it's definitely a move we should make but the Arizona connection to Bowles could lead to us signing him. It'd really be an early 2017 free agency move.

That whole receiving corp has sucked outside of Larry Fitzgerald and I think a lot of it has to do with Palmers regression.

    Food for thought at least.

On another note, I get sick to my stomach every time I read one of these stories. I get wanting to roll up to the club in the $150,000 Audi, but come the fuck on guys. Buy a nice Lincoln Town Car and hire a driver. All these guys wanna be bosses, but bosses don't get arrested for DUI.

And guess who picks him up...BILLY BOY in New England!

Not that we can throw stones with Seferian Jenkins though.

The Pats are hurting for WR, Bill probably would not have done it if it were not for dire need.

I mean he's also a talented receiver and a great deep threat averaging 15.5 yards per catch for his career. Palmer has been tentative and hit a lot this season which is a big reason they're not hitting big plays.

i don't understand why teams are so quick and happy to cut bait on a guy after something like this.... I think many times its to placate obnoxious fans who think the league needs to police the players, because they are a bunch of old wrinkled men.

im not surprised bellichicken picked him up, hes a good player and I bet he helps them. that's what bill does. takes guys you don't want and uses them to make his team better.

every time i put the game on to avoid a commercial in the jets game the guy just made another play. its very frustrating to see an entire league do dumb shit and one do the smart thing over and over and over again.

The Patriots have 7 seasons in a row with 12+ victories.

The Jets have 1 season with 12 victories in the history of the franchise.

Whatever it's about in New England, it should be more about that in New York.

Pats claimed Floyd on waivers after every other team passed, right?

its about winning at all costs, no stone unturned, no rule unchallenged. they are more prepared and more focused than any other team from tom brady to guys on the practice squad.

to think i used to feel bad for the patsies because they were in such shambles and sucked so bad every year.

then they got a ruthless owner who gave them an identity and a course to go and here they are.

Right - they are bottom feeders. It also means they have no right to claim the moral high ground. Yet they do. They are the most hypocrital franchise in sports.

More than anything else Bill Belichik wants cheap talent. He wants to get X+2 production out of X cap dollars. He gives up his vets easily when he thinks they're not going to do that. Lately he gives up his young prime players when he thinks they're not going to do that because their second contract is on the horizon and it's going to be big enough that X+2 is really unlikely.

The flip side of that philosophy is that he has to find talented prime and early prime players at a discount to keep the Pats on top of the pack and the best way to do that is to pick up other people's damaged goods for a season or two before the big contract becomes an issue.

But that's a better solution than paying big money players to make the fan base happy. Sure, you should pay some guys like Gronk or a great QB, but other than that players are pretty much interchangable. Pats have proven that over the years.

The more credibility a coach/GM/organization builds up the more they can be unorthodox in their moves without anybody batting an eye.

The less credibility they have the more moves that get second-guessed and blown out of proportion.

The Jets need some real credibility along about now and you don't get credibility by signing free agents. You get it by drafting well and winning games.
