Dismiss any reports that have circulated to the contrary. Gary Myers is a buffoon and is never to be trusted.

There is NO WAY than an owner, even as clueless as WJ, would bring back a coach who is so obviously in over his head.

Even our owner, Arthur in a Jets cap, realizes that the program would be set back another year if Bowles returns and he also knows the Jets will be lucky to average even 50K per home game next season with anything resembling a season like this one.

Bowles is a good man, a terrific DC, but he is a horrible face for the franchise and his ambassadorship of the club in pressers is downright cringe worthy.

With the Giants heading back to the post season and garnering the lion's share of the media, even Arthur realizes that this is time for a significant change and will hit the re-set button after tomorrow's game.

Bowles has lost the locker room, and the tough cop he was portrayed to be has never really surfaced...players are never held accountable and it's every man for himself.

The organization is a mess from top to bottom and it is in severe crisis mode right now.

Bowles will NOT be back next season, and moreover, he does not deserve a 3rd year when this season told us everything we needed to know about his inability to lead a 53 man roster.

The coaching staff will be cleaned out and the Jets will have a new head coach going into the 2017 season.

Johnson has not given any public vote of confidence to Bowles and his staff and this is more than telling...also something nobody in the NY press is even discussing.

Anything less than firing Todd Bowles is pure lunacy and Johnson knows this.

Tomorrow is Todd Bowles last game as the head coach of the Flyboys.

    Take this to the bank.

Exactly, they are rumors, they are rumors unsubstantiated by a NY media with their heads firmly up their asses.

    Bowles is gone after tomorrow.

Would be surprised if he's fired but not unhappy about it if it happens. Would give Mac more time and let him pick his coach.

Going out on a limb here. There will be no need to fire Bowles because he will resign during his post game press conference. He will take some blame for the failures this season but the resignation will be to look after his health after the kidney stone/gall bladder problems he has recently faced.

Remember, you heard it here first.

He had better follow your theory, because if he doesn't, he'll be fired first thing Monday morning.

I like Bowles and was in favor of his coming back, but he seems to have totally lost the locker room - what with the whole turtling on the Pats game, infighting between players, the whole Marshall/Richardson thing, and especially all this stuff leaking out.

Can't have a players coach who loses the locker room. We either fire Bowles, or keep him and replace a _lot_ of players. Given the quality of our current roster, I still lean towards the latter...

Without any source, this is only a guess and not a question of whether he deserves it or not, he will be back to 2017.

Other coaches have had bad seasons and their franchises did not fire them. You guys are like Terry Bradshaw...failing to recognize the good Bowles has done. I posted "The Donald Trump Effect" but it was moved to a forum and i havent found it yet. It talked about how Woody's and Mangold's and perhaps others' open endorsement of Trump may have created discord throughout the franchise. Women who work for the Jets may have resigned. ..racial/religious tension between players coaches staff and ownership could have created a working environment that was not conducive to success. Did Gailey and Bowles clash over it....Bowles and Woody...Revis and...Muhammad and...? Gailey was a head coach, thats part of the reason Bowles wanted him...so why were there so many more poor coaching decisions this year vs last year? Just a theory...i wish a reporter will one day ask the question. If Bowles is fired it may be for causes deeper than you realize . The team imploding may be for causes deeper than you realize.

Why is it hard to believe issues of bigotry and sexism could not have divided a New York locker room?

    1) Because support of Trump has nothing to do with bigotry or sexism

    2) Because we are talking about grown fucking men not whiny women and college students

I guess that the Niners are sucking because Kaep kneels for the anthem too.

I do take back the stupidest thing read comment, because I just read the complete horseshit teacher analogy you posted.

I guess you could be on to something but do you actually have proof / video, audio , player quotes, something else to support your theory ?
    BECAUSE
I see a coach and a staff and players that,,are in over there're heads . I see a coach that makes very bad in game decisions, cant manage a clock with play calling or timeouts, cant make adjustments in the first or second half of games, does not have his team prepared to play , does not put his players in the best position to succeed , who has no answers at his weekly press conferences, who does not hold his players accountable for they're play on the field or accountable for off field actions,,,,I am a little hung over and tired so excuse me if I don't list anymore !
Yeah bigotry and sexism divided this locker room and made Bowels do all of the above that I stated,,,,,,makes sense to me ,,,lol
ps on a more serious note I only hope and pray that this assclown either resigns or is shitcanned by noon Monday !

If we are going to discuss baseless conspiracy theories, here is one for you to ponder. Todd Bowles is the worst Jet Head Coach since Rich Kotite. Beyond just the record and the epic blowout losses, players are undisciplined, not conditioned and are playing worse than anyone expected. They are fighting with one another and show all the evidence of not caring about the Jets or the fan base. The stadium will be empty today and most fans want a coaching change. STH's are giving up their seats. The franchise is worth less today than it was at the start of the season. Other than "stability" why wouldn't Woody get rid of Bowles?

Here is a theory. Maybe because the optics of firing an African-American HC after two years while Woody is a Republican up for consideration for an ambassadorship would cause a firestorm? I think if Bowles stays that is almost certainly one of the factors on Woody's mind. I don't think it's a primary consideration, but it's 100 percent part of the thought process. Flame away but it makes sense.
