Nah. Fitzpatrick will have a career day. Mark my words.

He will throw minimum 3 TD passes this Sunday. You heard it here first.

Ah - by the way, I didn't specify [which team he will score for.]

Still don't see them putting Hack in. Bills would have a field day with a guy who can't get the ball 10 yards down the field.

I don't want to risk getting the kid killed with this o-line. Start Fitz, let him become crippled. His career is over anyway.

What's Tim Tebow doing next fall? Probably be released from the Mets by then...

Starting Hackenberg would add more embarrassment to an already embarrassing season. You have to send Fitz out for his one last hurrah. Hopefully play a decent game and not be blown out by Rex on his way out of Buffalo. 0 reason to play Hack for 1 meaningless game.

Id be willing to put money on it that Petty never starts for an NFL team again.

Completely agree. After what he went through at Penn St, he'll play his ass off hanging in on every down to show he's got what it takes, and ultimately get ripped into doll parts. You know, something like what happened to Petty.

Forgive me, but during my limited time here, I've never seen you to be overly optimistic.;)

I mean, c'mon man, Petty showed a strong arm, lots of jam, and he's obviously not stupid. The reason he wasn't playing sooner was because Gailey and Bowles had to justify MacC's signing Fitz after an embarrassing ordeal that they clearly got outmaneuvered on.

It's almost a certainty that Fitz is going to do this. Given the way things work for the Jets, he'll probably have the best game of his professional career on Sunday.

FO with that. I took DeAndre Hopkins in the 2nd round of my fantasy draft. Osweiler locked him out like Revis in his prime ...

Fitz has started for half of the teams in the league. And he is terrible. Pretty sure Petty will get at least one more shot. Either as a Jet or somewhere else.

I wouldn't shut the door on Petty yet. He's probably done here, but he'll catch on as a backup somewhere and will get another opportunity to start at least one game. Hell, if Fitz can start for however many teams he's started for, surely Petty can get himself one more game.

Time line too short. Give it 2 years from the time he lands on his next team and you have a deal. Assuming one year to get acclimated to a new system on a new team. The second year with new team he competes for the starting job. Now if a change is made during that year not due to injury, he still earned the start.

Somebody here seriously wants to feed Rex Ryan a rookie QB in game 16?

    Really?

What would that accomplish other than leaving Hackenberg with scars and bruises, physical and emotional?

No way Hack starts. Only way he plays is if Fitz gets hurt, and if he gets in, he'll be a handoff machine.

Starting Hack would be a "disservice" to the kid, according to Bowles weeks ago.
