First of all, why would his parents spell his name like that?

I'll admit I somewhat stopped paying attention towards the 27-0ish part of the game, but I liked what I saw from Burris early on. He looks like he's good at being physical enough to disrupt the play, while not breaking any rules to draw flags.

Like what I saw out of the kid. Despite these past couple of shitty weeks, I thought he was somewhat of a bright spot beyond the bomb he gave up last week in single coverage in the slot.

Agreed I tweeted about him as a bright spot earlier. Hopefully he can step in and be an opening day starter in 2017. I like his confidence. Revis used to have that. Now he just has money I guess. Who needs confidence and effort when you are rich? Am I right? Back to Burris though: I think he looked pretty good the past few weeks.

I also like how he's good at attacking the receivers hands and body when they're going up to get the ball. The better corners in this league don't always play the ball, but they knew where to target receivers key points of contact when they're trying to make a catch.

It's what Kyle Wilson lacked. For what it's worth, Kyle Wilson was pretty damn good at sticking with receivers in terms of coverage ability. He just had no idea how to break up a pass whatsoever.

I think Burris is going to be at least a solid #2 corner in this league.

Agreed. I think he and Lee have been good additions to the defense and hope both make jumps in Year 2. If they do and Jenkins contributes, the defense could be in better shape than people assume.

I honestly think the Jets have some good pieces. But when the guys seem always out of position, that screams a coaching issue....I have a huge problem with that.

I think Burris would excel with a team like Seattle, he has the size and smarts to play a Richard Sherman type of role as long as he is not left alone all game.

His physicality and lack of speed will get him in trouble playing man to man. I do like what I have seen from him so far.

Some of the young guys have played well. Burris, Jenkins, Shell have all played well. They should be solid starters going forward. There was a play yesterday early on when Burris pinned the receiver out of bounds a la Revis during his prime.

Darron Lee has shown some good things and some very bad things. His pursuit angles have been very bad at times and there have been some plays where he got demolished by blockers. I also would like to see him improve on some of his coverage skills. The team tried to put him in the mike position during the Indianapolis game and it went horribly. I think Lee could be a good outside backer, but he needs a lot of work.
