He just lost to a Matt Moore led team by 21 points at home. Anyone assuming this guy is a lock to come back is crazy. If they Pats wax the Jets and they then lose to the Bills at home comfortably, I don't think he's back. And if he comes back, I'm 99% sure he gets canned next season.

Problems in the locker room is usually an organizational fault. Sometimes it's the head coach but more often the entire managerial hieirarchy contributed to the problem at each level and magnified it in the process.

    Just like the business world.

Head coach gets lopped but the problem could easily have been two levels above him.

Whether you get paid millions or unemployed and making no money, it doesn't justify profanity.

Guy needs to be sat for the final two games. Who gives a shit if we win or not. No one on this roster respects Bowles, show them who is boss.

There are some here that deserve a read, others are a bit too over-reactionary. You have to take it all with a grain of salt: the success or failure of any sports team doesn't have any affect or impact to my health and well being.

    1) Richardson never touches the field in a Jets uniform again, remind the locker room who is in charge.
    2) trim the fat, cut pretty much every "older" player, Revis Fitz Marshall etc etc (i might save Harris and Decker IF the FO sees them as 'consumate pros" for the young guys to learn from, team friendly deals weigh heavily on this)
    3) No "big flashy" free agency signings, build a core of work horses, Snacks type players (FUCKKKKK)
    4) IF Bowles is fired don't even bother with defensive minded coaches for interviews

Finally i am going to officially eat my crow. I was 100% on the resign Fitz train and i am clearly an idiot.

Look, if Fitz can shit on the entire organization and still play, there's really no reason why SR should be benched for the year. If they wanted to make a statement, they should have benched Fitz for the rest of the year or just cut him right after his little hissy fit. If they had done that, then there wouldn't be an issue with suspending SR for the last 2 games of the season.

Leave it to the Jets management to fuck up yet another aspect of running the team. Discipline seems to be in short supply at Florham Pk.

Discipline??? Bowles does not know the d finition of the word, how he could Let Marshall stay in that game Saturday after it was clearly apparent that he was not in the mood to play in the second quarter.
This team can't even find out if the QB is worth anything due to his best receiver wanting to just hang out for the night.

The owner hires the GM and lets him do his job. The head coach reports to the GM and is evaluated by him. The coach and GM together hire the staff and the GM has the final say in who is hired. The head coach is responsible for the offense, defense and specials. He also must deal with the media and spend time with the players to find out what makes them play their best. He should be involved with game planning for both sides of the ball and have the final say in the all aspects of the week's performance. He also has to oversee practice on the field and make sure players stay sharp. Big job for anyone but getting bogged down in coaching one side of the ball is a waste of limited time. Coach the coaches and give them an idea of what you expect from day to day. Talk to the GM daily about personnel and keep him in the loop about team issues.

It's always the coaching staffs fault when a player does something wrong around here.

Your first line highlights the biggest problem with this organization. The GM didn't hire the coach. And the coach reports to the owner of the Jets. Backwards ass way to structure a franchise. But that's Woody....
