What GM/Coach combos are expected to get to the playoffs in the first year? Very few that I know of. It's a gradual process. We are just extremely impatient.... which is undestandable. I have a feeling Petty development is going to be a key. Sent from my SGH-M919 using Tapatalk
Definitely wouldnt call it a failure. I would call it a missed opportunity. I cannot crush the Jets for finishing 10-6 with a top 10 offense and defense. Definitely wouldnt call it a failure. I think they had a very good year, during a season when they needed a great year. I thought, despite a few mistakes, Todd Bowles coached a great season. I thought Macc did a good job putting a competitive team on the field, while not mortgaging the future. I also think he had a couple hits in Williams and Mauldin. I'm pissed because they squandered a golden opportunity, and if that is your definition of failure, you wont get an argument from me.
for me this year was fun, i enjoyed watching this team and really enjoyed not having a bunch of complete asshats on the team. its been a long long time since there havent been a handful of guys who i absolutely despise on the team. this group was likeable. they won more than they lost by a pretty decent margin and restored my faith that things can get better. the team looks like and sounds like professionals and they seem to be able to evaluate talent to a certain extent. stop being such a bunch of whining champ sounding like suckers and enjoy things for what they are. bottom line is its not WE, there is no we here. the players dont give a shit about you and me, the owner doesnt give a shit about you and me so why the fuck would you get all bent out of shape and depressed for? put things in perspective, this is entertainment and the team was entertaining this year. now its over, you hope they have a good off season and come back better next year.
10-6 last year seems awfully irrelevant now. Old team, dozens of holes, little young talent, clueless coaching. I'm glad everyone enjoyed beating bad teams last season.
i enjoyed the shit out of it. it was a really fun team to root for. me not being happy last year would not have made this team any better.
I'll never forget Marshall's drop in the first quarter of that game and thinking oh god here we go again. Shortly after came the 21 yard punt leading to their first score and the onslaught of interceptions including that stupid forced throw to Eric a Decker in double coverage. What a game.
Last year was awesome compared to the turd sandwich we were served this year. This season doesn't take anything away from that. Ended in disappointment but at least it was worth watching.
Jericho Cotchery dropping his first three passes of the season in the Super Bowl was the first sign 2016 was cursed by the football gods.
Yes, this was a successful season: We drafted a punter as bad as Quigley Our secondary is swiss cheese Wilkerson and Sheldon shit for Brains regressed Our Lb's are horrendous We wasted $12 on a piece of shit who held us at gunpoint and has been benched 3 times WE still don't know if Petty or Hack can play Our Oline is garbage Brandon Marshall has a big fuckin' mouth and never backs it up No Te's Our coach is emotionless and braindead Our Special Teams are the worst in the NFL
