Bradley was 14-48 as coach of the Jaguars for a win percentage of .226. Yet somehow he lasted almost four years. Must be a special kind of patience in the Jacksonville water.
Jets are going to have 2 more years of TB, so sit back and enjoy. I thought Bortles was going to be a good QB, it just has not worked out for them.
Living in NEFL and having alot of friends who are JAGS ticket holders, I see alot of them when the JETS arent on........ man, so many 4th qtr meltdowns and stupid penalties. This game was the tipping point. Watching them is Tragic Comedy
It'll be interesting to see who they bring in to coach Bortles up. He lit up prevent defenses last year which lead to big numbers. He's been absolutely horrible this year despite having a good amount of weapons at his disposal (Robinson, Hurns, Lee, Yeldon, Ivory). If the Jags are smart they'd try to go out and sign a big time offensive lineman as well as draft one. Chance Warmack, Ron Leary, and Kevin Zeitler are guys that should be at the top of their free agent wish list. Surround the young quarterback with talent and let the defense work itself out. It's the best hope for a team like that to develop their young physically talented quarterback.
We have discussed this on this board many times but I feel it's worth repeating. The jags need to be more balanced, the stats show that they are a heavy passing team. If they can get an olinemen as you stated, they could take some of the pressure off Bortles and not rely on him to do so much. I don't know if you watched the game versus Houston, but he was forcing passes, trying to make something happen. At the end of the game, they literally gave him everything underneath and he forced a pass into the safety that got intercepted. I see the patriots are also making an effort to be more balanced, Blount has something like 14-15 rushing TDs, I believe they are all inside the red zone. Rushing the ball is important in the NFL and I believe it will help the Jags and Bortles tremendously. In a side note, I also see the jags looking at Coughlin.
