I wonder if Cushing's estate gets any cash out of this movie?? Interesting...

Well that's good. I'd hate to see Bogart doing a remake of Gone with the Wind... :)

I confuse the hell out of my 8 yo son by refusing to call it anything but Star Wars. I also call it the first film, not the fourth. He can't understand which film I'm talking about.

My understanding was that it became subtitled A New Hope when Lucas released the 'new' Gold edition box set of the original three films with all the CGI add-ons included prior to the release of the other movies. For those who haven't seen the unadulterated versions of the original movies I feel sorry for you. The new effects added nothing and took something away.

Is there a YouTube video or something where I can see the differences? I'm pretty sure I've only seen the cgi ones.

I used to own the VHS tapes of the original 3 movies but they've vanished over the years...

With this digital age, I cannot imagine how shitty the picture would probably look.

I was just talking to someone about the old days of TV with an antennae trying to minimize and get the least amount of white fuzz and static on the screen as possible.

Agreed. Anyone that hasn't seen the original film version of Star Wars would be advised to just skip it. If you've ever played analog video on your HDTV, you know how really bad the picture looks. I'm not even sure those originals were in 16:9 format.

Oh, and you're bringing back memories of actually touching my TV. :)

Just watch this and you will see a difference. A group of nerds dedicated their lives to bringing this back to the original

Really enjoyed Rogue One. I was going in fearing it'd be a disaster like 7, and was really pleasantly surprised. It felt a bit like Return of the Jedi meets Guardians of the Galaxy, if that makes sense. Even without much character development, they managed to establish the characters, which was something I struggled with in something like Fantastic Beasts a few weeks earlier.

After watching that, my order is:

    V
    VI
    Rogue One
    IV
    III
    II
    I
    VII

As a overall film, I found it better then Jedi even though the Emperor, Luke, Vader scenes in Jedi along with the Han rescue are like my favorite scenes in star wars.
