C Man I am with you. And I was in the game thread yesterday saying Petty wasn't the answer early. But what he showed me down the stretch gave me hope. I love being wrong when I am negative. But I am hoping these last 3 games give us hope going into '17 that we "possibly" have a solid QB of the future to build around. Love this kids balls albeit against the hapless niners.
The difference between my example and yours is that Petty was responsible for the pick, but he had nothing to do with the missed FGs. I'm saying that some posters are giving him extra credit for winning the game. However, had he turned in the exact same performance but lost because Dawson made a FG, I'll bet they wouldn't be pumping him up so much.
Dude. That's just a lazy response. Actually, it's stupid. You really tell me Dawson's kick was the reason we won? How stupid are you? How much of a mental weakling? I would crush your entire lifetime. Under my boot. You're a pussy.
The game went into overtime. Dawson cost the 49ers 6 points in regulation. So he was a big reason we won.
I meant defenses are catching onto Dak. He missed on a lot of throws against the Giants and while the Vikings are a far superior defense IMO, he was missing throws that game too. So he has been struggling a little bit, it's a good thing he's got a top offensive line and the real MVP, Elliot. I'm definitely sold on Dak though, he's a really good QB. He's seeing so many looks right now, so it's hard not to struggle as a rookie QB in this league. You got Cowboy fans already wanting Romo to start, I am interested to see if he bounces back against the Bucs. They are a good team too.
hes from the south and it was like 10 degrees that night. it was probably his first game ever in freezing temps ... he is doing just fine
I live in Cowboys country and practically everyone I know here is a Cowboys fan. I don't know anyone, even the huge Romo fans, that want Romo to start right now.
Romo behind that deadly offensive line alongside Elliot would be interesting to see. Let's be real here. Prescott has exceeded expectations, and Elliot has been a beast. BUT the offensive line is really what wins them games. I do believe Ezekiel is for real, but Prescott would be half the man he is without that line protecting him. The Giants defensive line was probably the toughest line they faced all year. They struggled and Prescott looked like the rookie he is. Don't get me wrong, he's going to be a solid starting QB in the NFL for sure, but better than Tony Romo now? I don't think so.
I live with a shitty Cowboy fan and for the past 2 weeks, he and his father have been complaining about Dak in terms of throws down the field, thinking Romo would make more plays. I personally think they are spoiled right now as you can't go with Romo right now despite Dak struggling. The Bucs game this weekend should be a strong indicator. I think they have a valid point about his down field accuracy and I think that's where Tony excelled, but that's only right now.
