Boy, my taste sure has changed quite a bit since I made this list back in February (except for Megadeth, of course  ) 1) Megadeth - Rust In Peace 2) Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas 3) Death - Human 4) Morbid Angel - Covenant 5) Vile - The New Age Of Chaos Heartwork didnt make my top five but it definitely makes my top ten
nice. I can't wait to hear both. I got to see Sabbath twice on the reunion tour. I also love Sabbath with Dio. Mob Rules was the first metal album i ever heard and the one that got me hooked.
Oh man, I never heard this before... http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=88147406 Graveworm did a cover of REM - Losng My Religion. It's pathetic, and hilarious.
Hey it's official, my girlfriend ('fiance' if you want to get technical but I abhor that word) has agreed to be announced to Hypocrisy's "Roswell 47" at the reception.
A heads up to some upcoming shows (these dates only apply to my specific location though, obviously)... If anybody is interested in any of these tours I can post full links and dates and all that junk...Necrophagist is a band Im gonna HAVE to see...Dark Funeral would be sweet too... Dec 4 - Sepultura Dec 11 - Necrophagist Dec 16 - Children of Bodom Jan 10 - Dark Funeral Feb 15 - Slayer July 13 - Immortal
Immortal? I knew they were getting back together for Wacken but I didn't know they were coming to the states. Holy shit.
I saw Necrophagist the other night....they certainly play extremely well live...but they're kinda boring. Not much headbanging or energy from the band. Im totally there for Dark funeral...wouldnt miss that for anything.
It looks like Danzig and Doyle and Steve Zing (Samhain) are going to be doing shows together. This should be all kinds of awesome. Much better than the "Misfits" of Jerry Only, Marky Ramone, and that guy from Black Flag. Also, I went to Vintage Vinyl yesterday and Emperor's "With Strength I Burn" was playing over the PA and I realized that this just might be my favorite song ever. I'm posting this for no particular reason.
Does anyone know if Corpsegrinder covered any of the vocals for Dethklok? I coulda sworn I heard him on their song "Mermaider" (on the 2nd episode)
Its possible, Nathan Explosion looks a lot loke Corpsegrinder so it would be fitting. He reminds me more of the vocalist from Nile though in sound. Edit: Doesn't look like it. There are a bunch of cameos from other guys like King Diamond, James Hetfield, and others though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Metalocalypse
Corpse and other death metal bands have dealt w/ this since their births. Whether its jealous mainstream fans, conservatives or religious activists..this type of crap will never go away. All the more reason for the bands to continue writing about killing people.
ANGELCORPSE bassist/vocalist Pete Helmkamp has confirmed that the band is in the process of reforming. However, contrary to a previous announcement, a new drummer has not yet been secured. Pete and guitarist Gene Palubicki "are auditioning drummers as well as second guitarists," Helmkamp said. Parties interested in either position should contact Pete at kommand666@yahoo.com. Apparently John Longstreth will be the drummer for the upcoming CD "Of Lucifer And Lighting" coming out spring 2007 Spring 2007
Ya im gonna see Slayer they're going with Unearth, and the day before that I might see Krisiun,Belphegor, Unleashed, and hatesphere
Now I'm feelin' OLD. I dont even know most of these bands. What about-Judas Priest -Deep Purple -Black Sabbath -AC/DC -Ted Nugent -Motorhead -etc Any of you guys ever see Ted Nugent (started off in Detroit, now lives in Texas, but still plays for six months of the year & goes hunting for the rest.) In the late 1970's & 1980's he was THE wildman.
