did i read on this thread that ESPN doesn't give the Yankees respect? Bro, you have got to be on acid or some mind-altering drug if you really think that is true.
Uh, the Giants game was with the two best in the NFC. The only joke was the way they played in the second half. And it wasn't funny.
I watched Around the Horn earlier...I don't know why I do this to myself anyway, the question was buy or sell the Jets as a playoff team. 3 guys said no, the other never really was clear on what he thought. But Mr LA Times, Bill Plaschke, said our win over NE yesterday was, quote, "a fluke" and that we have absolutely no shot at a playoff berth. hmy: Well, I can't really say what I think about that, being as how I wouldn't want the young'uns to have to learn a few new words, but really...WTF, this loudmouth fathead didn't even watch the game, I will stake my life on it! Some people should not be answering questions when they obviously have no friggin clue whatsoever, only a bias! I wish I had his email address, so I could help spam him with angry rebuttals, but he would just erase them all unread anyway, since its obvious he wouldn't want any actual knowledge seeping through that fat, concrete skull. On a positive note, Wilbon and TK didn't go with the "whats wrong with Brady/New England?" angle and admitted that the Patsies got outcoached and not one word about how the Patriots "beat themselves" (god, I hate that kind of BS in journalism.)
Glad I wasn't the only one. What angered me most was how Quick they 180'd and all bought into the Colts and totally dismissing when the fact came up of the Colts winning close games. Yet, what Everyone fails to realize is that The JETS have Played the most close games in the NFL this year. So in essence, it's ok when the Colts and Patsies do it but when it comes to the JETS the logic doesn't apply... Like I said, I just laugh at this shit. and keeping with the original post Bileofchick said about us yesterday: "They beat us from top to bottom". Between the Lines: That's him givin Kudos to our CS and Team...
Bill Plaschke may be the worst sports writer outside of Scoop Jackson and Mariotti, no exaggeration. He's terrible. http://www.deadspin.com/sports/home...town-columnist-sucks-bill-plaschke-131676.php
Did anyone catch Irvin relating it to the Godfather II? I'm sure he was talking Bellichick when he said "Fredo...you broke my heart." I like how they (I forget if it was Jackson or Young) said that the Jets players have Mangini's back, and that they take the disrespecting thing from Bellichick more personal than Mangini himself. It's the players who take the field and can make statements anyway. Unless they can get WWE involved to set up a cage match: Eric "The Penguin" Mangini vs. Bill "BonJovi" Bellichick
Maybe I was just watching at different times than the rest of you, but on ESPNnews they couldn't shut up about how well prepared the Jets were and how much credit they deserved. I think some of you have caught the Pittsburgh Steelers' syndrome (remain the underdog at all costs, even if it's not always true.)
ESPNews >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> ESPN ESPNews and ESPN are completely different, ESPNEWS is ESPN before it became the MTV version of sports
Exactly. It was in reference to ESPN's recap of the game not ESPN news and the day after. Funny also how they do this once they see and hear all of the players and coaches giving the JETS props. I totally agree ESPN News is well done.
ESPN News is the barebones sports stories. ESPN's other programs have more entertainment value and let the commentators express their opinions more. If you don't like ESPN, don't watch it. Otherwise, quit complaining
Uhhhh. If you don't like it. Post in anither thread. Maybe if you actually read the posts you'd understand that we are actually laughing at this and like the fact that we are "Under the radar".... Ok Fireguy?...
Was anyone watching around the horn yesterday? Jets:Buy or Sell? Everyone sold and said Tom Brady just couldn't stant tall in the pocket like he likes to because of the weather etc. Yeah, that had nothing to do with the Jets D putting him on his ass all day. And i guess it wasn't raining in the Jets huddle. Those guys are horrible.
The fact that most sports writers don't like us is excellent and I really couldn't care less. I doubt that anyone on this board would jump ship because the Jets wern't popular? EDIT; well maybe a couple or so
Kewl... But Stick around just in case you need to put out a few or hose someone down...lol... I did see it also. The excuses were ridiculous. Scroll up, we touched on it a little. I just couldn't believe how they dismissed the same logic when it applied to the Colts...
My thoughts EXACTLY ... I dont care about kudos from people who dont matter. I can pat my own self on the back.
