NO Your missing the point about 2002. Same promblems that defense caused Pennington, this 2006 defense(which is alot better and faster) is going to be alot worse for Pennington. Like I said previuosly this is not going to be some soft zone defense that Pennington faces. Man to man defense with Raiders forcing Pennington to make throws they want him to make. See Jaguars game and you will understand the same problems Jaguars defense caused Pennington raiders have a similiar type of defense.

Nah, don' think I'll base my decision on whether or not they turned a corner based on the Bears game and generally I would agree with you one win can't get you too excited, unless of course it's against the Pats in NE...see, if we beat the Raiders yesterday, it would've been no big deal and nothing to get excited about :wink: not to play semantics with you, but your argument was that the Jets weren't serious playoff contenders....not they they weren't playoff caliber.... but.......in a nutshell, 2 of their 4 losses are to NE and Indy, both of which were basically last possesion games....and now they beat NE on the road....so yeah, that does up them on the playoff caliber meter..... especially after the vaunted Patriots would never lose 2 home games in a row one last thing,honestly i haven't really had an opportiunity to watch the Raider lose, er umm, I mean, play this season.....but I think it's absolutely ridiculous to compare a 2-7 teams defense to a Super bowl teams defense, I mean i'm sure you know better than me....but that argument is silly on it's face....and frankly I still have more respect for a depleted Pats defense than the Raiders....especially in late December in the Northeast!

NOpe it dosen't suck because My team one player away on defense from having a chamionship caliber defense. Most of my pieces are there on offense. Once they upgrade the OC and the Oline and they are going to start to win alot of games. I can wait. NOw heres the reason why the Raiders will come and play very hard last game of the season. Raiders have one of the youngest team on both sides of ball. (now if it was a old roster you might have been right) These guys are playing for a job next season and want to use last game as springboard(Like 1999 I believe in KC) Raiders run is coming again. Lets see about 40 million to play with in FA, Drafting very high again and youngest team on both sides of ball. Get here 2007. JUst remember Cowboys and Ravens defense were built on being very bad for awhile. The goal is to win superbowls not just make playoff.

Listen You could Have easily lost in Buffalo,and Miami. So don't give me you could have won against Colts and NE the first time. You didn't. Second you really think this Patriot team is as good as it chamionship teams. Who have they beat and outside of one or two diffrent games ,are playing just as soft schedule as you. They have lost to both Colts and Broncos.(only Playoff teams they have played) Third you should learn to read. I said raiders are one player away from having a chamionship defense. They have a playoff caliber defense right now(ITs that good) You will find out the hard way , just how good that defense is. Fourth you rather face RaIders defense than a NE Patriots defense. That just silly because pennington does alot better against a Zone defense, than a man to man defense, thats going to force pennington to throw where he dosen't want to make. Face facts the AFC east is really down this year and the AFC East is playing a very easy schedule this year. Again you are not a playoff caliber team and don't expect any team from AFC East in AFC Championship.

You have to be dissapointed with the record. Just when your going with a first year QB and everyone on Oline playing a new position, its just going to take time. Oc play calling has been horrible, dosen't help either. Most of the pieces are there on offense already, just filling the remaining holes. Like the Defense has shown this year, you know the weak spots and its not that hard to do(espwecially picking early again and 40 million) Without a doubt Raiders start the youngest team on defense. ON offense i would say its defintetly in top 10 . Look up .
Defense can win a CHamionship. see 2000 Ravens as an example. Jets have as good a chance as Jax , KC, and Cinn. TO do what? Outside of Jaguars are anyone of those teams playoff teams. You really think your better than Jaguars. See 41-0(have you forgot that one)
yea RJ....its a damn shame you're 11 players away from a chamionship caliber offense (maybe 11 if Moss decides to show up)...im very familiar with Raider fans living here in the Bay Area and i must say that they are the most dilusional fans ever known to man....Before Rich Gannon retired, one of my friends who is a raider fan told me he was poised to have a career year...ahem...what happened? Im yet to hear a Raider fan tell me that the raiders have a chance to beat the Jets this year, they are still in shock they won 2 games, much less 1. oh yea...your defense isnt that good...anyone can pick off Ben Rothelisberger 3 times a game

How great would it be... to beat out KC for a playoff spot? Still we have some tough games coming up, Chicago, Green Bay and Houston all look tough and Miami is starting to play better.... one game at a time.
