It's an idiotic structure. You're right...the HC should report to the GM, and the GM to the owner. Having the HC and GM as equals is moronic and totally dysfunctional.
lmao so this is what we've come to.... our 3rd or 4th string whatever the hell the order is or was any more... he's "looking" good.... lol.... IN PRACTICE! WE TALKING BOUT PRACTICE!!!!!!!!!
I'm 49. Is that old enough? I always root for our young players to do well because that's sort of what we want isn't it? Not calling you out, but I believe that there's a significant part of our fan base that identifies with losing and expects it. That makes them prone to overreaction at the first mistake because they want to be able to say "See! Just like I called it! And we could've/should've drafted ____ instead of this bum". It's one of the things I really despise about many Jets fans.
Or............We'd rag on Bryce for throwing picks in the face of prevent defences as he tries to 'Marino' us back from a 2 or 3 score deficit. Then Geno007 would reappear and tell us that we need to resign Eugene pronto, how he's the best QB we've had since Joe and don't forget the Dolphins game back in '14.
Thus post reminds of a dude I knew in college that peddled cocaine for extra money, people would ask him, how is it? He'd rely real good, they'd buy it and it would be garbage, moral of the story what else is he going to say.. I for one don't give to shits how he looks in practice, game time, we shall see, then if he starts stinky it up, everybody can roll out the old faithful excuse of blaming the OC.
He certainly has the arm but i need to see better feet. There were some instances against the colts that it looked like his eyes and arm were leading the lower body. That has to reverse. Hopefully that will happen and the game slows down for him. Though 4 games certainly wont be enough, we should see signs by the last game.
I'm new on this site, but I doubt anyone here would agree with anything Mehta says. Speaking for myself, if Mehta says something, I beleive the opposite is true.
Remember when Marshall talked about what a great week of practice the whole team had? Marshall saying someone looks good in practice is the kiss of death
No. Marshall saying someone looks good in practice is the sign of a mature leader in the locker room; a team leader who tries to stay positive when there is nothing to be positive about. One of these days there will be and it will get dismissed by all the whiners. Is this it? Time will tell.
Interesting analogy. Selling good coke vs. bad coke, playing quarterback well in practice vs. games. It's all the same these days I guess.
