Wait till medicare is gone, because apparently you seem to be the logical one here. I bet many Grandma's and Grandpa's are going to be shitting in their diapers once that comes to fruition.

Trump saved several hundred jobs. The repercussions of this deal could cost a lot more jobs than that. When you decide to do something, you have to consider all the possible consequences, not just the immediate ones.

He has no excuses with the Republican majority across the board. He should do what he ran on.

Medicare is currently set to run out of money in 2028. That was true before the Trump train.

As if he really thought all the jobs being saved were going to be Union production jobs. Production got a good chunk of the pie though....

Unless I am reading it wrong the Union Pres. was not of the impression that all the jobs being saved were going to union production. Hence the "Jones hoped [Trump] would explain" part after his famous tweet. And then TRump goes up in front of some people about to be laid off (with those keeping jobs strategically placed in front) saying “Now they’re keeping — actually the number’s over 1,100 people,” he said, “which is so great.”..

hence the Union President's "he lied his ass off" beef. It wasn't over 1,100 people. He knew it and wanted see how it was handled

As I've said, if this deal doesn't affect other companies' outlooks, it will more than pay for itself. But that isn't likely, and I'm not sure this deal will be a net gain in the end.

So to recap, the government is running a system that is set to go bankrupt in a little over a decade. Republicans plan on privatizing with the intention of providing a more long term solution to give care to senior citizens beyond the 12 year bankrupt date.

Democrats say this is going to cause suffering and laugh.

Got it. I wish I could be so smart.

    How out of touch...

Now let's see your source on Medicare unable to pay any percentage of benefits post-2028
