The new planes would not be ready for use until the back end of his second term (should he win one), so it sounds like he's looking for a discount for the country.

The Trump regret train of people is already coming in waves. He is going to ruin so many lives, especially in places around the country Trump really has no plans to ever visit again.

Is this based on something other than hysteria?

A little late responding to this but curious what you see as a sweetheart deal. Even if the workers only pay $700 in income taxes each per year it is break even, I would think union workers are paying quite a bit more than that a year in taxes. In addition the money they spend in the community and the sales taxes collected on those items is in the plus column. There are also the corporate taxes, they may get a break but they are not tax free.

I may have missed something so if I did please enlighten me.

Good to hear your faith is strong in him. Gotta wait until he is even in office before the regrets kick in.

Trump is what he is. I was wondering if something happened that caused you to post what you did or if you were just trembling from your safe space in fear of the monster the msm told you exists.

In a vacuum, this deal is good. Extra tax revenue from the workers should make up for the money spent. But now other companies, who had no plans to outsource, will consider it in hopes they'll get paid off too. Trump could threaten them with a tax, but then other companies will be less likely to open new plants in the US out of fear they'll eventually need to outsource and get hit with that tax.

If he's able to get his tax plan through we'll be open for business.

Well I thought when you said sweetheart deal I thought I missed something. Those union employees are likely making $20+ an hour so with Indiana's state income tax they are probably paying over $1000 right there so that's $300,000 total net over the company tax break, add in federal of $4000 or so each and that is another $4M. $4.3M net per year for a $700K tax break sounds pretty good to me. Even if the employees only paid half of those taxes due to write offs you are still talking a positive of over $2 million a year.

Companies have been using the threat to move to gain tax breaks forever, it's not a new concept. This has only gained so much print and air time because it was Trump supposedly getting fleeced by Carrier.

The U.S. has the 3rd highest corporate income tax with only P.R. and UAE being higher so maybe just bringing down the overall rate and removing all the write offs is what needs to be done anyway.

    https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...er-on-trumps-big-deal/?utm_term=.a5da982c99d9

"Jones, president of the United Steelworkers 1999, which represents Carrier employees, felt optimistic when Trump announced last week that he’d reached a deal with the factory’s parent company, United Technologies, to preserve 1,100 of the Indianapolis jobs — until the union leader heard from Carrier that only 730 of the production jobs would stay and 550 of his members would lose their livelihoods, after all.

At the Dec. 1 meeting, where Trump was supposed to lay out the details, Jones hoped he would explain himself.

“But he got up there,” Jones said Tuesday, “and, for whatever reason, lied his a-- off.”

Have I shown you any signs of fear or shedding tears of sadness? What are you talking about? Whatever Trump is doing does not affect me right now.

Its popping up everywhere in my newsfeeds that his Trump supporters are seeing his appointments and are getting a kick in the nuts or pussy.

You're making this claim that he's going to ruin lives. I guess that's based on some trump supporters expressing disapproval of his cabinet choices on the internet.

    Makes sense.

So you're willing to accept certainty of losing jobs over a possibility of losing jobs?
Honest question, your comment got me lost.
