Last I checked the government reducing taxes was a core libertarian concept, but what do I know. Since when is the government reducing taxes considered "interfering with the free market"?

Helping a group in need even if it means a cost to society at large was a core liberal concept too. Before the Dems sold out that is.

You know which team you root for.

Manipulating the tax code to pick winners and losers for political purposes is a core libertarian concept. Good to know. And millions of votes were cast fraudulently as well. Facts are stupid things.

baby steps. the tax code should give relief to everyone and not pick winners and losers. Hopefully it will soon if Trump gets his way.

Keeping jobs in the country is a good thing

The Democrats have favored using government to help working people keep their jobs. Whereas the Republicans have objected to using government to interfere with the free market, which is what Trump is doing. It's a shame Democrats sold out to Wall Street (and used leftist identity politics to hide that), and it's hardly a surprise working people turned on them. The downside is we now have a loose cannon in the White House, which didn't need to happen.

Arguing the system of shit was a necessity to simply gain one positive, in the construction of this specific plan, doesn't negate the system of shit.

That does sound pretty smart. Applauding a cheap political stunt funded on the backs of tax payers Mike Pence is supposed to represent to score points with easily impressed nitwits is the opposite of smart. An even wiser man once said, meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

It's not "funded on the backs of tax payers". I thought we already went over this? It's a matter of taking the difference in tax revenue for the 1100 workers and the 700k. Net savings for the tax payers. Everyone wins, except Mexico.

Some type of logic that gets you to calling a tax cut corporate welfare I guess.

what is funny is that he spoke out against this type of practice when he was campaigning.

I remember watching him speak in like Pennsylvania or Ohio, idk, one of the rust belt states, and he talked about how states are giving incentives and tax breaks to get companies to stay and that (I paraphrase) "folks, they take that gift and the politicians make a big deal out of it, and the company just leaves for Mexico anyway a year or two later"
