I'm officially rooting for Fitzpatrick to get broken in half.

Next I'm rooting for Marshall to fuck Bowles right on the sideline because Petty is not throwing him the ball. Both Marshall and Bowles will never be seen again -- Marshall from jail time; Bowles from embarrassment.

Revis will be benched forever for intercepting Br*dy, but then giving the ball to Gronk who carries it into EZ for game-losing TD. In addition, Jets are penilized for 15 yards on the following kickoff for taunting because Revis autographed the ball before giving it to Gronk.
Revis then explains that now he is the only CB who caught a game-losing INT, thus cementing his bid for HOF.

Well, there IS some evidence that they suck, given the last game and Hack's preseason game.

BS Petty did NOT suck in the last game. He played reasonably well considering the awful game plan and atrocious play calling. We knew Hack was a project and wouldn't be playing this season. That doesn't mean that he sucks or will never develop. Mac took a gamble on a kid with a very high football IQ and with a very strong arm. He has to find a young QB somewhere. In an ideal world, he wouldn't have drafted a project QB in the 2nd round, but as we all know, this isn't an ideal world. Rookie QBs used to routinely sit for a season or two before they ever saw the field. It's only the impatience of fans and the shortage of quality QBs in the NFL that says that most, if not all, rookie QBs should be able to start in their rookie season. Maybe we'd have more quality QBs in the NFL if fans and teams weren't so impatient and didn't rush them onto the playing field, and did a better job of teaching and developing.

There IS also evidence that some Jets fans have delusions of grandeur. Then again, I need more post, so don't quote me just yet! ;)

Ok and this comes from a long time darksider. I cant remember a time when there were a legitimate handful of younger players that should be on the field. We all know the names starting with enunwa, lee, jenkins and onward to the OL with johnson, ijilana, etc etc.

These guys may not make all pro but at least they appear to be competitive and if complimented by a few studs in the right spots we would be fine.

This organization is so bad, it looks up to the 76ers as a model for execution. At least they don't fuck up tanking.

Some billionaire needs to buy the team and hire Theo Epstein so it can be great for the first time. Jets fans deserve better.

Let's be clear, by trading up, I mean to No.1 or No. 2. Agree with the QB, the position is too important not to take a chance, but disagree on pass rusher, too risky. Would not trade up for any other position.

I don't see anyone in this draft worth trading the farm for, unless Trubisky completely blows away everyone in his interviews and workouts. Still, he's a raw one year starter from a relatively so-so program.

I would not trade up for Kizer or Watson. I wouldn't touch Kizer at all in the first. Watson is debateable but he looks like he could up being present day Kaepernick. I sure do like winners though.

We should take a quarterback somewhere in this draft, even if it's not with our top 8 pick. Keep drafting them til someone sticks.

Petty did fine against the Rams?
    we scored 6pts......the whole game.

I agree the Rams D is better than the Pats, BUT the Pats offense can put the Pats D into a one dimensional situation quick, where they typically embarrass young QB's rather quickly. that's when you see 30pt wins from them.

if you can keep the game close early, you can neutralize the Pats D a little.
i've always felt that is a critical element to beating them.

whether Fitz can do better than Petty i don't even know at this point.
i don't have a lot of faith in either, so the rest of the team and coaches need to get their collective heads out of their asses if we have any shot at winning.

I'd rather see Petty, but it's pretty irrelevant. Does it really matter if he plays this week or next? Either way we'll see plenty of him these last 6 games. We're going to lose 60-6 on Sunday, and even Bowles will have to face reality.

Totally agree. Definitely not the year to move to No.1 or 2. Also like Watson, but not at the top of the draft.

Trading up that high (#1 or #2) is gonna cost the team big time. Even if that QB succeeds, depending upon how much his team had to give up to move up and get him, he may not have a quality team around him for much of his career because of the picks the team gave up to move up and take him. If they give up the ranch to get him and he busts, the team is screwed.

I understand your hesitance with the pass rusher, but imo that is the 2nd most important position on the team, and well worth the risk if your need is critical, and imo the Jets' need is critical. I wouldn't do it frequently of course, but would try it at least once. Also, I wouldn't trade up for just any pass rusher, or to #1 to take a pass rusher, but I would have traded up in the top 5 for a Vonn Miller. I really, really wanted the Jets to get him in the draft. Concersely, I wouldn't have traded up for Gholston or many of the "top" pass rushers that have been in the draft over the last several years. If the Jets had a franchise QB, I would have done it for Clowney if I thought he could play the 3-4 OLB position.

Unless the second coming of Andrew Luck or Mariotta are available, moving up to #1 or #2 with all of our needs would be a massive mistake that no good GM should fall for.

Contrast that with what Gase had to say after the game last week.
Even with Miami down 10-7 late in the fourth quarter on Sunday, Gase said he was thinking only touchdown on the last drive: “That game wasn’t going to overtime. It was either going to be a pick or a touchdown.”

I know it makes for good football board conversation, but nobody here and barely anyone on football personnel squads knows who is worth drafting where in any given season.

The Cowboys taught us that this year.

    4th round. 4th fucking round.
