I don't think anyone even insinuated that. If anyone's job is ultimately safe it seems to be Maccagnan's.

I'm interested to see if we can put together a bargain secondary next year after we cut all the dead weight and have a little bit of cap space. I only see one corner (Stephon Gilmore) who is going to get a mega-deal despite having a reportedly worse year than previously.

Looks like there could be some solid guys on this list. Jamar Taylor has gotten beat this year and against us as well but he looks to stick to receivers decently. I always liked Greg Toler in Indy as a man to man corner too, not sure if he's fallen off with the Redskins as it appears he doesn't play all too much. Robert Alford has been good for the Falcons this year so he'll get a nice size contract.

We're shopping at the Wal-marts for corners this year boys! And I couldn't be more excited to find our next David Barrett; the real king of the 12 yard cushion. I'm fine with it if they're making $2.5 million a year and are at least solid tacklers.

Of course I have. I've been blocked by him on Twitter because I've openly called him a garbage beat writer. But, given the Mo/Sheldon stories and how spot on they are, I think he's garnered a bit of credibility. Also, let's just look at what Bowles has said and done this season. He does not know how to be a head coach IMO

I agree, something has to be sacrificed when building a team and it seems that in today's NFL it's the secondary. Most teams have weak secondaries.

Hopefully the jets put their money where it belongs next year, OL and one excellent pass rushing OLB.

They are set at DL and WR positions, one of the rookies should be ready to take over at QB if managed correctly.

How long have you been on your job? I am sure you are better now than when you first started. Cowher had up and down season as well. 1 superbowl and he is highly regarded as a good to great coach by many.

Most of us get better at our job, not stay poor, or get worse. If we did, we probably wouldn't keep our jobs. If we told our boss that we were afraid to enforce company policies or quotas with the employees under us for fear that they would balk or revolt, we'd definitely be fired.

That is the most asinine argument I have ever heard in defense of a coach. There was no two year learning curve provided when I took my last job which was at a higher level then my previous. I was hired because my previous experience showed I was capable of a higher responsibility. If I did not deliver at that higher role, or it was revealed that I didn't understand my industry as well as I purported to, I'd have been gone. And quickly.

You don't get elevated leadership positions to train in and learn the basics that you should already have at the leadership position; you get the leadership position because you purport that you have an ability to do that job based on the lower level experience. If you still need to learn the basic ins and outs of the tasks of the leadership role that you should have the minute you take the job then stay in the junior role a little longer to continue to learn.

Yes, I'm certainly better now then when I started my most recent position, but I was always capable and competent at it. I was always capable of making sound decisions the moment I took the job and have made those sound decisions. The two people who held my position prior to my taking the job lasted 7 months each; I've been in it almost three years.

Those other two people are Todd Bowles; they said they could do the job then failed at it. They weren't even competent at the basics of an elevated leadership role despite success at managerial roles just a tier below. They didn't deserve more time because their success at the managerial level simply didn't translate to success at a higher level and it's obvious when they failed to grasp basics of the role that they need

All I have to say about MM is 2 words Dak P. The failure to draft him is more then enough proof that he can not handle the GM job in which he gets millions per year to do:mad:

Like every other GM in the league besides Jerry Jones?? lol
If what you say is true, there will be a record number of GM jobs up for grabs after this season.....
Perhaps you should start preparing your resume??
