Bowles should not be the one to make this decision, the GM needs to tell him who to play at this point.
They should have been starting a long time ago if they knew what they were doing. If the picks were good, then they weren't developed. If they HAVE developed them and won't start them, then they are incompetent for THAT reason. If they tried to develop them and couldn't, that means they made bad draft picks. Any way you look at it, they don't know what they're doing. Ron
Personally I think you don't know what you're talking about. Just piling on because the situation is bad and tensions are up. Sent from my KIW-L24 using Tapatalk
Long and short of it is Todd Bowles is spineless, he has no balls. Things are supposed to work based on a top down directive. Instead, Bowles is getting worried about what the players might think? This guy is a fuckin pussy and I really wish Mac would stop wasting time and just shit can the incompetent retard............
"Mac can't fire him. They're equals. Both report to Woody." Which is why there have been many posts suggesting that somehow we get a new owner. But it will never happen. Woody just has to get proper direction from a football guru. Not sure who.
Why would anyone want to watch Bryce Petty and that dogshit offense he ran play the rest of the year? If reports are true that Petty is struggling at practice and dogshit Fitz is lightyears ahead of him then what is the point? The Jets will absolutely draft another QB next year, dump Petty, and sign a veteran to compete with Hackenshit and the rookie.
Like I said.. This organization has the worst Org structure in the league. Think about it... Woody Johnson (Owner) aka: meddler in chief. Neil Glat (Team President) - money man with no input into personnel or operations. Macc and Bowles - GM supposedly in charge of Personnel, HC in charge of field ops. Both report to the Meddler in chief bypassing the team president. Both are "equals", both are rookies. Woody has final say without the knowledge or experience to make the correct call. Result: Team once again spinning its wheels going nowhere fast. A classic case of the blind leading the blind.
Yep the whole organization sucks They don't know sh*t from shynola Who doesn't hate being a fan right now or since 1969 for that matter Life sucks and then ya die..... Can Jerry Jones have a Cowboy franchise in New York???
Exactly. Regardless of how you felt about Idzik or Rex, it was the same shit back then. Idzik and Rex's goals, visions and objectives were at odds with each other that last season which led to them each trying to undermine the others credibility. The thing is this organization has been fucked up for as long as I can remember, the entire 80's went by without a football GM and half the time under Hess the coaches like Walton and Kotite acting as the GM. Remember the big deal when they hired Dick Steinberg, that they finally hired a football guy to run things? And then of course Woody goes back to the same shit with Tannenbaum. The short stint when Parcells was here is the really the only time in memory where this organization seemed to have a fucking clue what it was doing. On the original topic, If Bowles is truly worried about losing the team, then he has no fucking balls and should not be a HC in this league. It should be on him to talk to Mac and Woody and discuss the priority of evaluating Petty even if it means a couple of more in the L column at the end of the year. Regardless of whether he truly thinks he will back next year or not, he has to understand that Fitz has no future here and if he is here, he needs to know what he as in Petty.
Please provide links to where they state Petty is struggling now? If you talking about Preseason...that ship sail my friend and its old news. Fact is bt the end of PS he outplayed every QB on the roster...
Motivation? What motivation has this team shown? Let's see what we have in Petty, and if it hurts the veterans feelings, show them the door.
yeah, it is not like the jets ever looked totally motivated at all this year--Revis and Wilk are strictly drawing a paycheck, and a coach with balls would sit them down.
