I meant Trump doing something stupid isn't out of the realm of possibility. I agree, 270 faithless electors is crazy. But a lot of shit so far has been pretty out there.

It would only be appropriate that the electoral college add some drama to this election.

Oh stop it. Snopes is legitimate when it comes to fact checking things and debunking false rumors. They don't lean left or right. Your link led to a google search where the #1 article is an article talking about how Trump did NOT win the popular vote. LMAO.

    Stop the lies.

California always goes liberal, so if you are conservative and live there, your vote is pointless. Each person should count as an individual, that's all I'm saying here. It makes more sense that way.

Not living in a true democracy doesn't make the point of a popular vote stupid and meaningless. When your vote becomes irrelevant because your state is not a swing state, voting itself becomes stupid and meaningless.

Guaranteed if that happened, republicans would suddenly start going bonkers about getting rid of the electoral college and would change their tune drastically. Funny, how things are considered good or bad, based on how their candidate does in an election. Trump wins despite losing the popular vote and it's perfectly legit, yet if Hillary gets installed by the electoral college they would riot.

No because a county is not a person, and the way it is now, about 11 STATES (out of 50) dictate the election. The PEOPLE in those counties should have just as equal a say as anybody else in the country.

You guys just keep proving my point. NYC and LA are not people, they are cities and their citizens' votes should count the same as anybody else in the country. Penalizing people for living in populated cities is stupid, I'm sorry. 1 person is 1 person. We are giving more value to land mass, like I originally said.

LA and NYC combined are about 12 million people, in comparison to 300 million+. They aren't deciding anything by themselves. The PEOPLE of the country should decide the president.

States need more power than that? All we are talking about is voting for president, something that is on the FEDERAL level. It doesn't affect anything else or turn everything into a mob mentality democracy. If voting really matters, they should make it matter. Right now in NJ/NY my vote doesn't matter because liberal always wins here. I might as well not vote for president. I'm more of a libertarian anyways.

NY Times already reporting about chaos in the transition. I mean, its certainly far fetched, but I've never thought Trump was serious about being President and now when he and everyone else sees how far in over his head he is, I can totally buy him figuring out a way to avoid serving. In fact, what would be more genius and Trump like?

The more I think about it, the more I'm rooting for the guy. Sure, he's a dipshit douchebag, but Mike Pence with a Republican Congress is a lot scarier.

The FEDS force a lot of shit onto the states. Here's another way to look at it.

there is no way that map is true. I dont trust Breitbart's nonsense anyway and they worded it like assholes to begin with. Hillary won the states of Minnesota, Colorado and New Mexico for example, how the fuck are they all red in this chart. There are no "elite coastal counties" in Colorado, Minnesota and New Mexico.

Philadelphia county (PA) where the median household income is $30,746 and 22.9% of the population lives under the poverty line was described as an "elite coastal county" what a crock of bullshit

They're not saying trump won every county outside those blue ones. They're saying those counties are where Hillary won the popular vote that everyone is suddenly so concerned with.
