I have only seen and heard vague references to a WFAN report. Haven't seen anything from the team. Here's one: http://www.ganggreennation.com/2016...rumor-bryce-petty-will-start-against-the-rams
Get ready for a dink and dunk offensive game plan, but at least this game has caught my interest. However ill try to keep my expectations in check, which is dam near impossible being a Jets fan!
Forget that. Petty showed great chemistry with Anderson all preseason long. Let him take shots. I know LA has one of the best D Lines in football but still. Go with what works.
Man, there's REALLY going to be some boos if fans are showing up to this game expecting Petty to start, and Fitz end up walking into the huddle.
Since we know Gailey gets pass happy at times, now would be a good opportunity to open up the playbook since he'll have a Qb on the field WITH a NFL caliber arm. Now if we only had a NFL caliber OLine.
He also said that under Rex Ryan players would stay in until bed checks and then go to a bar afterwards, the night before a game, and that's part of what Bowles has been trying to fix. Sheesh...
I can't imagine playing football with an hangover on short sleep. No wonder we always looked slow on the field.
No reason to feel differently. This is a bad organization that always looks to blame a player or players for it's downfall. 47 years and counting. None of the players were even born, so how are they responsible for this organization? Revis joins the Patriots and wins a Superbowl. It doesn't have to take so many lifetimes when you want to win. The Jets don't want to win. As long as fans are entertained and don't show enough common sense beyond a parrot the Jets will never change how they do business.
The hell with the fans at the game, I may throw my remote through my TV if I turn on the game now and Fitz trots on the field.
Awesome, I'm looking forward to it. I'm just worried that this may be reminiscent of Greg McElroy's one start in 2012 when he took 200 sacks. Bryce came into the league with a very remedial knowledge of protections and opposing defenses, and he has an offensive line in shambles against one of the league's best defensive fronts. I have high hopes but I'm prepared for a very ugly game. The Rams probably won't score 20 on us unless we turn the ball over though.
