If Petty starts tomorrow I'm going to be rooting my ass off for the youngster. Win or loose I want to know what he can do in the next few games. We already now damned well what we have in Fitz...and it isn't the solution. The stupidest move on earth is wait till the Pats game and start him then. That would be a bone head Jets move. Its tomorrow or after the buy. We need to know if we have a future starter in house starting right fucken now. The $12M will go down as the worst insurance bet in Jets history.
Fitz must still be too hobbled. Not the way I would have preferred Petty to get his first start, but probably the only way he would with this CS.
I'm hoping the OLine doesn't get Petty killed tomorrow. Kid had better be ready to move and throw the ball away.

Petty is going to suck. New York Jets is a butt backwards organization that blames players instead of the actual people in charge. NY media roots for a loser of a QB who worked with ample HOF receivers and still hasn't produced one playoff season. Throw Geno under the bus as if he is holding the Jets back. Ha! The Jets hold their own selves back.
I hope Petty plays good today. Not sure if he's the long-term answer but the kid carries himself well on and off the field and I'm rooting for him. He deserves a long hard look the rest of this year.
