You believe that trumps border policy is to enforce the laws already on the books and I believe that he didn't be have any clue what laws were in the books and use racially charged rhetoric to mobilize a group of voters. What's interesting is that both of those are just beliefs. He was elected and nobody knows what his real border policy is.

I'm fine with deporting illegal immigrants. I'm not fine with bullshit about building walls and blaming Mexicans for issues that they have nothing to do with.

    Now we're getting somewhere.

Trump specifically spoke to how this is already a law, and pointed out that we have deported many under Obama. You're welcome to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

Towards people who think that they can force others to live by their religion (not the religion itself, to clarify)? Absolutely. Towards people who would try to deprive others of their human rights? Absolutely.

I must have missed that when he was saying Mexico was going to pay for it. If I'm wrong about him not knowing, that's fine. His purpose for using it as a campaign promise remains the same.

Just out of curiosity, why does racism only work one way? When Obama got 93% of the black vote, why wasn't that labeled a "blacklash"?

Do you live under a rock? there were lots of people everywhere making the claim that Obama only got elected because he is black. We had a "blackest day in American history" thread here even where this idea was discussed.

What's wrong with having a border wall? We have a problem with illegal immigration from Mexico and the week would reduce that problem significantly.

The difference being that it was deemed historic. Not racist. Don't act like there isn't a double standard.

So nobody knows what his real policy is and nobody knows who he's going to appoint to his cabinet, yet here you are, acting hysterical.

He stated almost the same as Obama did in 2014, he wants to deport the criminal illegal immigrants. Deporting and letting them get back in has been the problem for the longest time, that is why building walls and fences has been approved many times before.

"I understand that the vast majority of these people are honest, decent, hardworking people who came here to improve their own lives and their children's lives. Nonetheless, illegal immigration has to stop. A country that can't protect its borders isn't a country. We are the only country in the world whose immigration system places the needs of other nations ahead of our own. There is a word to describe people who do that: fools."

"I want to build a wall. Second of all, we have a lot of really bad dudes in this country from outside. They go, if I get elected. Gangs all over the place. We have a country of laws, they're going to go out, and they'll come back if they deserve to come back. If they've had a bad record, if they've been arrested, if they've been in jail, they're never coming back. Right now, we don't have a country, we don't have a border, and we're going to do something about it."

It seems Trump has a problem with criminals more than immigrants. Taking them all out and having them reenter may be undo-able but attempting to get all the criminals out has to be a priority.

Well, the wall is not even practical. its pie in the sky nonsense. but the problem is that its not really a problem. When you blame issues and dedicate your campaign for the highest office on a certain group of people that aren't causing those issues, its wrong and its a problem.

the US has had plenty of issues over the history of this young nation that we've fixed but we've done so because we identified what was causing the issues. When a society is unaware of what the root of their problems are, they are susceptible to taking the word of a con-artist who tells them a problem just to gain power. Like electing Donald Trump to fix things. one such example

Would it? Depending on which study, from 2012 on 40-60% of illegal immigrants came here in some type of visa and overstayed, becoming illegal. How do you cut taxes and pay for an extremely expensive wall?

Pence and Kris Kobach. That's the start. As he appoints people, I'll continue to look at their track records.

Electing someone who has no real known policy isn't problem enough though?

It's not a problem if you want the illegal immigrants here to vote for your side or to use as cheap labor.

It is a problem if you're paying a bunch of money to come in legally and a bunch of people are doing this. It is a problem if you have trouble finding work at a reasonable rate because illegal workers are cheaper. It is a problem if a violent illegal immigrant kills you or your family. It is a problem when it costs us $113 billion per year to support illegal immigrants.

Illegal immigration costs us $113 billion per year. The wall pays for itself, even if Mexico doesn't.

You don't ignore one hole in a leaky boat because there's another. Most reasonable people would try to fix them both.
