I'm glad we have a front office that is taking the QB position seriously instead of hoping a rookie or unproven guy is ready. I think they over paid but they did what they had to do to make sure they had,at minimum, a competent QB on the roster.
One nice thing that ESPN pointed out - again a plus for Mac and his knowledge - why the 2 year deal is good from multiple perspectives Despite the voidable, the Jets are eligible to receive a compensatory pick. If Fitzpatrick signs elsewhere next season and plays well for his new team, the Jets probably would receive a compensatory pick in the 2018 draft.
I never root against the Jets and I never will. I'm not hoping it happens. I would love to see Fitzpatrick take the Jets to the Superbowl and win. Whoever's understanding center for the Jets I will root for them. Butt I just don't see Fitzpatrick coming close to the numbers he had last year
National nightmare did not end, it started. Wrong about the bitching, right about the advice to stop watching. It was 3 weeks late. Ouch. Good call. Good Call Stopping after page 9. Coming to this board every day this summer was a joke. Bunch of illogical fans claiming any one with common sense was a "Genobot" or "troll" when in reality Fitz is a pathetic QB. So happy that just about everyone realizes that now and we can finally dump his ass as soon as Bowles gets his own head out of his ass. Conclusion = Pathetic fucking contract.
Meh... Still stand by what I said. It didn't pan out the way I said it but at least the best thing for this team was to be exposed. We know we have to find our new QB, one year deal still doesn't bother me. If he was resigned to multiple years I would be stressing the fuck out right now. I'm just ready to move forward and hope that one of these fucking off-seasons' will produce a fucking franchise QB. How great would it be if Petty panned out? We've seen this story before, so I'm confident it won't work but I'm hopeful.
I am thoroughly convinced that if Woody dumped the whole FO and rebuilt with "select" posters from this board we would easily have a more successful team.
