ESPN Just recapped the Jets Victory but showed absolutely Nothing and Mentioned nothing on How the JETS played but instead said things like the "Pats Not performing" or "NE not playing like themselves". Meanwhile when they Interviewed the PATS players Every single player said they were out played. Troy Brown said the Jets were quicker, faster and outplayed them. When ESPN Came pack they went to Jaws and all they did was talk about Brady then at the end for the last 5 secs we got, "JETS fans are Happy". Jaws stuck in a "Why not this year?".... Absolutely No Respect rom ESPN even when the Pats themselves give it to us. I'll take the W and they can keep their BS Commentary.... I'll keep saying what I was saying all week: "SHOCK THE WORLD"!
Have you ever seen Devil's Advocate? At one point, Pacino tells Reeves you always want to be the little guy, you don't want them to see you coming, and then BAM, before they know what hit them you're walking away with another win. Well, that's what we'll be for now. We all know who the true Jets fans are, us hopeless bastards that have been rooting for this team for as long as we can remember. Well, when we win it all sometime, we'll be the guys that enjoy it the most. Who cares if we get the respect from the media and everyone else? Look at all the respect Peyton and the Colts get every year, what have they ever won? This is a good sign. When the media respects you, usually you suck.
I like the analogy, I agree with the message, I disagree with the End. The Media respected the Pats, Steelers, Colts. They didn't suck. Especially that The Steelers won it last year and the PATS...... As for the former, I'd rather be as quiet as possible. They don't see us coming..... No one sees us coming!
ESPN doesnt give the Jets or the Yankees any respect. Has alot to with the Patrios and Red Soxs being ESPN's... favorite franshises
This entire "respect" thing is overrated. The players respect each other. The fans respect the teams they like and even some they don't like. It doesn't really matter what ESPN says about the Jets because as we already know, their bandwagon changes weekly. We as fans have gotta drop this complex about "respect from the media". It means absolutely nothing in the big picture.
You may have missed the part when I said "I'll take the W and they can keep their BS Commentary...."and "I'd rather be as quiet as possible. They don't see us coming..... No one sees us coming!" I put ZERO stock in the Respect thing especially from the Media. I just find it amusing on the Spin the PATS loss and Not the JETS win.... ad how much time they divided in discussing the game 95% PATS, 1% JETS, 4% Other... What makes you think We're not happy.... We're elated! This is just for amusment...
Not gonna lose any sleep because Merrill Hodge wants to have Brady's baby. Like C-Man said we know , the Pats fans know and most imporantly the Pats themselves know. Let the media continue to ignore us, doesn't bother me. Let them say it was a fluke, they'll say the same thing next week when we beat the Bears. It'll be ahhh Chicgao was looking ahead to New England. Screw them.... they overhype Duke basketball and Peyton Manning every year and what?
Exactly! Who cares what the media ass wipes say? The Pats' players know the Jets were the better team today. That is worth more than the respect of a thousand two-faced sell-out media creeps. The media can take their ball and shove it!
Yeah, those ESPN media guys are idiots. I guess when you have to talk for a 1/2 an hour you sometimes pull stuff out of your a$$.
Since the media consists of a bunch of brainless/clueless drones, they have to pull material out of somewhere.
ESPN doesn't count for anything anymore. Its word is shit. Don't even bother with it. Avoid the website, there's plenty of places for live scoring. Want the scoring on TV? ESPNews on mute, it's beautiful. Want analysis? Good, honest, unbiased analysis? The world of sports blogging awaits. I reccomend the AOL Fanhouse, they've built quite a football assembly.
NBC was also insinuating that the Pats were hindered by the bad weather and sloppy field. Of course what they didn't say was how the Jets played just fine in the same conditions. It's just really annoying to watch.
well the jets wear non slip cleats and have blow dryers in there pockets to dry there hands between plays.
Unf------ believeable! The PATS were hindered by the weather? The Pats, with Dillon and Maroney? I guess it wasn't raining in the Jets huddle. Just, wow! lmao
The Jets with our pass oriented offense weren't hindered? Haha, right. BB probably screwed with the field on purpose, it just backfired because we can play in any conditions now. My concern was with Chad, but he played good enough to win.
