You're correct in that they've had their huge games pertaining to this season. Now it's about what the future looks like. That's why this game is 'huge'.

The FO either keeps pretending it has a competitive team (win), or it starts auditioning talent for 2017 (loss).

So now the Browns get to start the best QB on their roster this week. Figures we don't get them one of the Kessler/Hogan weeks

My message to everyone in this thread is to bear in mind the following:

    Do NOT believe the hype!!

More than likely the Jets are going to win this game convincingly. However, the Browns are a hapless and winless team. Don't start thinking that suddenly the Jets have turned the corner and now they can beat anyone. They can't. Todd Bowles has beaten a ton of losing teams. He beast 9 of them last season. Beating the lottery pick Browns does not prove anything. If Todd Bowles had the Jets ready to play against the Bengals, Steelers, Seahawks, Cards, Chiefs, any one of those teams, we could at least say the Jets beat an actual, real live, WINNING team. That would have actually proven something about Todd Bowles coaching prowess. However, the Jets were outclassed against all of those winning teams.

So my message is...do not believe the hype. Todd Bowles is NOT making this team better. He is merely getting lucky with the schedule and could quite possibly look like a good HC to the uneducated masses...........

I agree with some of this. The Steelers, Cards and Seahawks outplayed us. The Bengals and Chiefs didn't.

There's not a coach in the league that would win a game when their QB throws six interceptions. I don't care if Vince Lombardi was coaching that day. We moved the ball all day against the Chiefs and they couldn't even pull away from us despite being handed 8 turnovers. If we had anyone else playing QB that day we would have won by 10 points. I can't blame Bowles for that one. The players were ready to play that day. That loss is 100% on one person.

I also don't blame him for the Bengals loss. Our Kicking team left 4 points on the field that day. They didn't outclass us. Again, we moved the ball up and down the field, and we raped their OL all game, but we blew two EASY kicks that we probably make 95% of the time ... and we still probably win the damn game if Marshall doesn't have a horrendous 25 yard drop when we were trying to come back for the winning FG. Just catch the goddamn football, and we're at the 50 yard line with 40 seconds left.

The two things I hold him most accountable for, are the constant blown coverages in the secondary, and the horrendous play calling and execution in the Red Zone all season. That punt against the Steeelrs was definitely off the charts STUPID, but we probably weren't winning that game anyway.

I still think we have good talent on the roster and I expect to destroy the Browns on Sunday. I'm one of the few people on here who thinks this game won't be close. But I agree ... that will prove absolutely nothing. We need to get to 5-5 at the BYE before we actually have a season again. We'll see if that happens.

I mean, you might be right, but Josh McCown coming off of a collarbone injury really should not strike fear in opponents. The Jets need to hit him. If so, should be a smooth day for the Defense.

Charley Casserly predicts Browns will beat the Jets. Apparently he didn't get the memo that Breno is back. LMAO!

Breno is some sort of savior? News to me lol.

Won't be surprised in the slightest if we lose, but I think we win it.

So, the genius that helped advise Woody to hire our leadership team predicts we can't beat an 0-7 squad 2 years in.. Gr8

First let me be very clear with you, I was just joking regarding the return of Breno. Secondly, I wouldn't take Casserly's prediction seriously... In fact I LOVE the media hopping in the Browns this week against the Jets. It's only going to serve as added motivation for the Jets to ground and pound the Browns. Jets will dominate the time of possession, and they'll win the turnover margin. Those that predicted a win by the Browns will look like clowns.

I have absolutely no faith in TB to motivate the team, none. So I do not - like some - think by any stretch of the imagination believe that this will be a Jet blow out... if anything it will be a nail biter.

I'm rooting for the tank if Fitzpatrick is continues to start.

If petty or by some miracle Hack gets the nod in the coming games, that will reinvigorate my interest in this season. But as of right now? Nope, hope that bearded twat stinks up the joint.

Gametime prediction, I'm calling a loss. Mangold is out. We never win when he's out.

Also Fitz is a retard. Our offense should be short passes to Enunwa and Robby Anderson all day, but he barely targets them.

Tbh I kinda welcoming losing this game cuz then it will be Bruce Peggy time.

Great run. He'll probably touch the ball 2 more times for the rest of the game.
