Good Read.. http://nypost.com/2016/10/29/jets-final-nine-games-will-tell-the-tale-on-mysterious-todd-bowles/ Well, there's one reason why to watch the rest of the season..
Bart Hubbach is a dickweed. I didn't have the patience to get beyond his whining about stories being handed to him on a silver platter. I can't say I'm surprised the media misses having a big mouth like Rex around.
Well, this is certainly true: "What is glaringly clear is that Bowles is no better than Rex Ryan or any other recent unsuccessful Jets coach when it comes to in-game decisions and second-half adjustments." He's Hamlet, a basically good man paralyzed by self-doubt and indecision.
This week has been classic Jets beat writer revenge articles, mainly because Bowles had the audacity to wise off to them this week.
Theres no need to write an article on Todd Bowles.....The guy is just another mediocre coach .Players dont play hard for him ,he plays not to lose,he fails to make adjustments....Kacy Rodgers was an awful hire,The Special teams unit has given up 21 pts on fumble returns. The defensive play calling has been a ddisaster. He is flat out awful
I'm thinking back to a time long, long ago as to one coach that Bowles has modeled himself after - or resembles for that matter - one so revered by NFL followers and historians : Tom Landry. - Mr. Stoic personified... does Bowles at least remembers his players names?
Bowles is horrible. Can't believe he's STILL playing 4-3 despite being burned constantly in that formation. WTF, does he not even notice? I need to start drinking and it's only 1:10.
The problem with that comparison is that Landry was one of the greatest coaches in NFL history and the Cowboys were always prepared to play.
Remember how average he looked when he lost those players and the Cowboys struggled to draft good players? I respect Landry a lot, as I watched him standing on the sidelines as a young man. At the end of the day, it's about talent, and the jets are lacking it at the most important positions.
Not going for it on 4th and inches in the Bengals game defines the season for Bowles more than the punt against Pitt. In the end, though, they both were born from the same lack of awareness of the context of the game, so it's splitting hairs. He's terrible regardless.
Well we know Todd's too clueless to make adjustments. You would think at SOME point they start doubling Terrelle Pryor.
