It's nice to be past the murderers row part of our schedule and finally get games we can compete in. I feel we have a puncher's chance of going into the Bye at 5-5 seeing our next 3 opponents are @Cle, @Mia and home against the Rams. If that happened, we'd no doubt be in contention for a WC berth which would be amazing given our record right now. I'm not sure that'd be the best route to making this team a contender anytime faster tho. I'd rather go 4-12 than 7-9. The Big 3 of QBs in this class all look like better prospects than Hackenberg or Petty. Myles Garrett is the edge rusher I've always dreamed of us having and there's amazing talent in the secondary. While I could be spending my days fantasizing about a miracle playoff run I'd rather imagine the more realistic scenario and start putting research into players who could really improve this team going forward.
I am sure Buffalo looked at the Dolphins as a winnable game down there. This particular Jet team could lose this game. I am sure Cleveland has circled it. They should not lose it. But inaccurate QBs can lose to anyone.
Whether we win this one or not...we still have to play Miami twice, Cheats twice, and Buffalo once. Assuming we need at a minimum 10-6 to make the playoffs, what the odds that we only lose once to that group? Ron
Its amazing we are playing a 0-7 team and people actually think we might lose....We will destroy the Browns. This game will be a confidence builder but its to little to late at this point.
In the history if the NFL how many winless teams have there ever been? They usually beat someone. It usually comes at home. And it usually will come against a team that often doesnt show up fir games Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
After all the QB juggling these 2 teams have done the first 7 weeks of the season, we could actually end up with a re-match of Week 1 last year: Josh McCown vs. Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Yeah because the Jets 2 astounding wins against the Bills and Ravens really cemented their foothold in the NFL. They shouldn't lose but I won't be surprised if they do.
Indeed, because.... Jets history shows there is reason to think this is no sure thing. Four times the Jets have been a team’s only win. The 1968 Bills, 1972 Oilers, 1980 Saints and 1991 Colts all won one game — against the Jets. Enough said.... they need to be prepared (cough), play hard (cough, cough), play smart fundamental FB and they "may"win. If they lost and they could, the way this team has under-performed, then Bowles definitely needs to be on the "HOT" seat stating now....
It will take more than an inaccurate QB to lose to Cleveland. The entire team, including the CS, would really have to suck to accomplish that. so yeah, i agree, it's very possible..
Jets will have their best offensive performance since they beat the Jills in Buffalo. The Jets will win the turnover margin again for the second week in a row. The Jets will win in spite of their noodle arm QB, due to a good ground game against a Browns D that's missing their fence. The final score will be something like Jets 30 Browns 9. Even if I'm wrong about how close the game is, Jets win.
This is how bad it has gotten for us as Jet fans,,,a team is coming into Metlife with zero wins and 7 losses and is on its 5th or 6th qb, in fact we still don't know who will play qb for them Sunday and we / at least I am still scared and think there is a chance, possibly a good chance that we lose this game !
