Without his play during that stretch we wouldn't have even been in contention. He did struggle a bit early on, but people forget he barely had any practice, was new to the team and coming off a broken leg and was expected to be the backup until geno got knocked out by a backup LBer. That and a decent defense. Jets won in spite of Fitz, not because of him. He did show leadership that helped the team gel, and he did, at times, play gritty football, but he was serviceable at best. The rap on Fitz IMO should permanently be that he can beat up on losing teams, FLAWED teams. However, when a good team shows up to play? Fitz is totally outclassed. His play is horrid. And the speech he gave after last Sundays win? I think Fitz is a total JERK saying that crap. The ONLY person that got you in the predicament you find yourself in is YOU. YOU did it Fitz, NOBODY else.........
