Jets have 3 takeaways and on the flipside they have 15 giveaways, which puts them deadlast in NFL turnover differential at minus 12. In my opinion turnover differential is the most important stat. Can't win when you're giving the ball away 5 times more than you take it away. Today the Jets defense needs to step up and start taking the ball away from the Ravens.
I'm surprised we have that many takeaways as well. I don't expect the differential to get better with Geno in the game. He always manages to throw a pick at the absolute worst moment, a trait that he shares with the guy he's replacing. It'll be on the defense to cause improvement here. Geno and the Jets offense will be good for at least 2 turnovers each game, so the defense will have to start playing better and getting some takeaways to keep the differential closer.
We now are/have to give a 15 yard cushion on every receiver, the middle of the field is wide open, we don't hit anyone hard (or at all sometimes), and the dline is not getting any pressure on the QB's. Where are the forced turnovers supposed to come from?
