I love 'em but that was just dreadful to watch. Is anyone on that team really ready to play? I'm starting to think the problem isn't really on-field, which causes me some distress. I had thought Mac pulled a rabbit out of the hat with TB, but it's not looking that way anymore ...
Bowles said a few weeks ago that their game planning was crap. I didn't mean he meant every stinkin' week. Honestly, I dont't know how to feel until it beomes clear this season is a complete wash. We'll find out in the next few week if they have any cojones.
It did remind me of Kotite especially after Odonnell went down that season. Amateurish coaching with zero in game adjustments , yo can see the players losing faith as to lead you have to be able show more than decency. I expect a HC to make errors but not every week and the failure to change the game planning despite 5 x 100+ passe ratings smacks of sheer incompetence from top to bottom. Mac should swing Bowes office door off its hinges this am as Apathy kills a team in any sport and that's what this ship is heading towards.
No he wasn't and if it was Woody's doing Ryan would still be here and with the talent we have now we would be winning not losing. He has won three in a row with virtually no talent in Buffalo.
Every week it's the same shit. "We were out coached and out gameplanned". Well shit... the players aren't the ones coaching or gameplanning. #FlushToddDownTheBowle
Well, Mac was hired on January 13 and Bowles was hired on January 14. There's no way that Mac could have hired Bowles with his not being here even a full day before Bowles was hired.
This says differently. http://www.nfl.com/videos/new-york-jets/0ap3000000458692/Bowles-hired-as-Jets-head-coach
I think this is the first game in which Bowles deserves more blame than anyone else (though Marshall's 3rd down drops and the defense minus Darryl Roberts oddly enough being entirely ineffective). The punts were gutless and calling a timeout when the clock is stopped in a situation where you REALLY need timeouts is incredibly stupid.
Mac was in the room while Bowles was being interviewed for the job. He was very much involved in that process. They talked about Vision and concepts amongst many other things.
Was he in the room for any other interviews? Did he have input into the list of interview candidates?
It doesn't much matter who was first. Or if Woody had the major influence in the hire. Right now we are stuck with a HC who can't get his mind in gear. As a DC before he should be in the face of the D, and it wouldn't hurt to get tough with all of the O. He just shows so little emotionon the sidelines that I almost won't Rex back(not really but we need new coaches: HC;OCand DC.
