I'm all for the Bryce Petty era starting... but not now. He just got back from injury. Give him a month or so of practice then make the move when we're completely out of the playoff hunt and Geno is still stinking up the joint.
Best of luck to Geno here. I hope he's able to resurrect his career. Not sure I want him as a Jet, but if Fitz or Sanchez can have repeated chances as a starter, no reason Geno shouldnt. I'm just hoping they keep him on a short leash. A couple of games and if he doesnt show something then see what the other guys have.
Relax a little. Bryce was on the shelf and just got back to practice last week. He'll get his time by the end of the year. We can't expect much from either qb tho with this garbage line though and without Decker.

I don't think he wants to be a Jet either. If he does well it's leverage to get to his next team, if he doesn't he will be a backup somewhere else anyway.

I'm glad we don't have to watch a journeyman on the last year of his contract struggle anymore when the season is all but lost. I hope Geno plays well.
It is amazing that some on this board want Geno Smith to fail. I hope he gets the rest of the season to show what he can do if anything. I don't know the young man and I view him as a football player. The newspaper types especially Mehta were pushing for Fitz. Recently they were still writing favorable articles about him. Shows how much they know. Smith will rise or fall based on ability. Those on this board who wanted to bring Fitz. back should take a few weeks off and let things unfold.
