Management wasn't even trying to win in 2013 and 2014. Good luck trying to win in the NFL when you're spending 75% of the cap.

Not in recent times however. Great resume but you have to ask the Janet Jackson question: "What have you done for me lately???"

He recommended Mike Mac and he is one of the better GMs we have had

In line with my recent arguments Wolf and Casserly would be good Presidents for this Godforsaken Franchise

They would work well with Mac

Maybe being advisors was a kick in the shins to them So hire them as Managers!!

Of course this assumes they want a job

Get them on the payroll with a SB Coach eg Coughlin or Gruden I am sure they all are aware how the game has changed.....1000xs more than TB

    Mantra: Experience trumps age

No its no longer the 70s or 80s but so what?

    Football is Football

I LOVE the idea of hiring Wolfe or Casserly as the team President, or Vice President in Charge of Football Operations or whatever they want to call it as long as he has SOLE control over the football side of the team and Woody stays out. Good post!

I blame Woody for being a bad owner but this latest mess isn't because he made a ill informed choices.
He courted respect council in hiring Macc and Bowles, it's just gotten terrible results this year. I'm more pissed off
that Bowles seems clueless and Macc drafts have hardly filled us with talent. We'll see what he does at the end of
    the season.

I'm usually not one to make rash decisions but I'm in the same boat as most wanting Bowles gone. I haven't seen anything from him that makes me feel like this team is being well coached.
I don't foresee any change being made but I really am hoping i'm wrong.

It's one thing having a team that just doesn't have the horses to be competitive but this team is way too talented, especially on defense, to be playing like a bunch of scrubs.
Effort is lacking and to me that's a direct reflection on the CS.

The grass is greener on the other side, rah, rah, rah.....

Do these same old emotional fan base rants ever get old for some of you?

I'm not happy with this season or any shitty season. It's awful but look at the facts.

Last year our schedule was the easiest in the league, hands down, still couldn't make the playoffs. That should tell you all something in that alone.

The media hyped this team up way fucking more then it should have. Expectations were unreasonably high and most of you fed into that bullshit.

I thought we would have done better then we have so far but I'm not entirely surprised either.

Look at our team. Injuries everywhere.

Our offensive line is really bad. We lost Brick. Carpenter has been banged up all year. Clady has been ok but I don't think he's been as consistent as Brick. Mangold isn't having a very good year, the whole right side of our line is trash.

The only guy that took away the double team from Marshall is on IR.

Online can't pass block or create anything that resembles a hole for our RB.

    No TE crutch.

Our 12 million dollar man isn't good enough to overcome all of those defects in our offense. So instead of being the glue, he is making things even worse because he's not good enough to be that glue.

That's just the offense. You can do the same thing with the defense.

Williams shouldn't be starting for any team. At all. Period. Situational player, sure. Starter no way.

Skrine is a fantastic slot corner. You put him on the outside and he is in over his head.

Revis. Still good but is clearly slipping due to age.

Pryor. I don't know what happened to this fucking guy. He looks mostly worse then even his rookie year.

Gilchrist has been consistent but he is exposed when the rest of the secondary is consistently shitting the bed.

Our LB are either bad or inexperienced. Not a good combo to have. It shows.

DL is great but they are being exposed because they are trying to do to much due to the lack of talent everywhere else on that defense.

It's a perfect storm of shit that we really shouldn't be surprised by. Then you factor in the incredibly hard schedule we were dealt. It's not completely hard to understand.

This team needs work and time. A plan needs to be completely executed within that front office.

If you bail on it now, we are going to be in a world of hurt for a long time because everything will need blown up. Literally everything.

I want to see consistency and I want to see this 5 year plan executed before irrational decisions are made.

That's what always keeps us mediocre. We never maintain consistency. Ever.

It's gotta stop. We need consistency for a change.

I agree with the most of this, however... I have no interest in seeing Bowles 5 year plan. We don't need 5 years of sub-par performance, these players are not performing for him at any position. Worse teams with less talent have done better than what we are seeing on the field.

I'm still willing to give Bowles the benifit of the doubt into a third year (short of a Fitz-led Jets coming out of the Cleveland game at 1-7).

I'm not totally convinced as he feels like a major overcorrection after the break-up with Rex and all he bought.

If we don't see changes and I mean soon we won't have a shot at beating the Browns heck we barely beat em last year

I could easily see us at 2-8 heading into the bye

The agony every week when Cooks is catching 90 yard touchdowns and our Pryor is giving them up FMFL

I may be wrong but didn't we have a shot at Mathews and Kelvin Benjamin also that year ? if so that should cheer both of us up even more
