Decker will miss next season as well . We can release him but we won't get any cap relief and he is not taking up a roster spot so it's pointless. I think they wait until the off season to make any moves.

That's a lot of shit to overcome. Would suck, but we should part ways with him and potentially Marshall if we can get another receiver in the draft / FA.

Maybe we can replace Marshall with Jeffery after all.

Sucks, its one of the players my wife is a big fan of...She follows their family on social media and shit too. I was gonna get a Decker jersey for her. Now, nah.

They are now saying his 2017 season is in question too.

And I just saw that was already mentioned...oh well.

wow that really sucks for Decker and for the team.

even though our offense is noticeably worse without him, i think the team will have to release him this offseason.
according to overthecap, 3M dead money, 5.75M savings on the 2017 cap by releasing.

And the real dollars are probably insured anyway though that won't help the cap.

He'd only count 3M on the cap in 2017 if released.

Insurance doesn't effect cap hits, and depending on the structure of his contract, might not even be payable by the team itself.
